An Information-Theoretic Approach to Generalization Theory
CoRRWe investigate the in-distribution generalization of machine learning algorithms. We depart from traditional complexity-based approaches by analyzing information-theoretic bounds that quantify the dependence between a learning algorithm and the training data.
