Works Councils, Wages, and Job Satisfaction [PDF]

open access: yes
We investigate the effects of works councils on employees’ wages and job satisfaction in general and for subgroups with respect to sex and occupational status. Making use of a German representative sample of employees, we find that employees, who move to

Stochastic variation in the FOXM1 transcription program mediates replication stress tolerance

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cellular heterogeneity is a major cause of drug resistance in cancer. Segeren et al. used single‐cell transcriptomics to investigate gene expression events that correlate with sensitivity to the DNA‐damaging drugs gemcitabine and prexasertib. They show that dampened expression of transcription factor FOXM1 and its target genes protected cells against ...

Hydrodynamic Modeling for Enhance Water System in Katingan Tidal Lowlands

open access: yesJurnal Teknik Pengairan
A study was conducted on the Katingan tidal lowland area with hydro-topography A and B. The lowland area has good irrigation capability but low drainage capability, resulting in excessive inundation.

Public Values in Water Law: A Case of Substantive Fragmentation?

open access: yesUtrecht Law Review, 2014
Horizontal fragmentation, from a public-values perspective, is a quite well-documented phenomenon in international (water) law. However, the literature does not provide any insight into vertical or substantive fragmentation, i.e.

CircCCNB1 inhibits vasculogenic mimicry by sequestering NF90 to promote miR‐15b‐5p and miR‐7‐1‐3p processing in nasopharyngeal carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CircCCNB1 expression is down‐regulated in nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC); thus, less NF90 protein is bound to circCCNB1 and more binds to pri‐miRNAs, blocking their (pri‐miRNAs) binding to DGCR8 and inhibiting the processing and generation of miR‐15b‐5p/miR‐7‐1‐3p. Furthermore, decreased miR‐15b‐5p/miR‐7‐1‐3p promotes the expression of the target genes

A Comparative Study of the General Health among Staff Nurses with Fixed or Rotating Working Shift

open access: yesنشریه پرستاری ایران, 2007
Introduction and Aim: Long time working shifts and its related tiredness threatens the health of staff nurses in various dimensions. If nurses don’t experience a good general health, they would not be able to deliver good patient care.

On generalized topological groups [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2012
In this work, we will introduce the notion of generalized topological groups using generalized topological structure and generalized continuity defined by ?A. Cs?asz?ar [2]. We will discuss some basic properties of this kind of structures and connectedness properties of this structures are given.

Calculating the Mandel parameter for an oscillator-like system generated by generalized Chebyshev polynomials [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2020
In this paper, we calculate the Mandel parameter $Q_M$ for an oscillator-like system generated by generalized Chebyshev polynomials \cite{01}, \cite{02}, \cite{03}. The sign of the Mandel parameter $Q_M$ characterizes the deviation of the excitation statistics from the Poisson one. This work is a continuation of our works \cite{04}, \cite{05}.
