Rolling Bearing Fault Diagnosis Under Variable Operating Conditions Using Group Sparse Reconstruction and Multi-Strategy Improved Quantum Particle Swarm Optimized RVM

open access: yesMachines
To address the problems of enhanced non-stationarity, significant feature distribution shift, and insufficient cross-condition generalization capability of traditional fault diagnosis methods under variable operating conditions such as varying speed and ...

Finding novel vulnerabilities of hypomorphic BRCA1 alleles

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Synthetic lethality screens performed to identify novel vulnerabilities often model complete gene loss, thereby overlooking patient‐derived hypomorphic mutations. In this study, we have performed genome‐wide CRISPR screens on BRCA1 hypomorphic mutations, showing BRCA1I26A behaves like wild‐type, while BRCA1R1699Q mimics deficiency. Furthermore, we have

Study on Generalization Capability of Support Vector Machine in Splice Site Type Recognition of DNA Sequence

open access: yesMakara Seri Sains, 2004
Recently, support vector machine has become a popular model as machine learning. A particular advantage of SVM over other machine learning is that it can be analyzed theoretically and at same time can achieve a good performance when applied to real ...

A novel quinazolinone insulin receptor inhibitor and its synergy with an EGFR inhibitor in glucose‐driven glioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

Loss of proton‐sensing TDAG8 increases tumor progression in mouse models of colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the pH‐sensing receptor TDAG8 accelerates colorectal cancer progression in mice. Animals lacking TDAG8 expression had increased tumor growth, DNA damage, and recruitment of tumor‐associated immune cells, including macrophages, neutrophils, and monocytes.

In vitro and in silico modelling of ROS1‐positive non‐small cell lung cancer reveals fusion‐dependent tyrosine kinase inhibitor responses

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Drug resistance limits treatment success in a subset of lung cancers driven by ROS1 gene alterations. Using patient‐derived cells and computer simulations, we studied three key mutations and how they affect five targeted drugs. The mutations reduced drug effectiveness in different ways by altering protein structure and behavior.

DBAD: Dual branch reconstruction for industrial anomaly detection

open access: yesElectronics Letters
Reconstruction‐based methods are commonly used in industrial visual anomaly detection. They rely on a well‐reconstructed normal mode of the model. However, it is difficult to manage the boundary of generalization.
