Recursion Relations for Chromatic Coefficients for Graphs and Hypergraphs
We establish a set of recursion relations for the coefficients in the chromatic polynomial of a graph or a hypergraph. As an application we provide a generalization of Whitney’s broken cycle theorem for hypergraphs, as well as deriving an explicit ...

The Exponential Function: A Mathemagical Hub [PDF]
The exponential function, including its real-and complex-values forms, constitutes one of the most important concepts in mathematics. In this work, the exponential function is approached in a progressive manner.

Moments of orthogonal polynomials and exponential generating functions
Starting from the moment sequences of classical orthogonal polynomials we derive the orthogonality purely algebraically. We consider also the moments of ($q=1$) classical orthogonal polynomials, and study those cases in which the exponential generating function has a nice form.

Geometric Properties of Generalized Bessel Function Associated with the Exponential Function
ABSTRACT Sufficient conditions are determined on the parameters such that the generalized and normalized Bessel function of the first kind, which is an elementary transform of the hypergeometric function and other related functions belong to subclasses of starlike and convex functions defined in the unit disk associated with the ...

Approximation on a class of Phillips operators generated by q-analogue
The main purpose of this article is to introduce a new generalization of q-Phillips operators generated by Dunkl exponential function. We establish some approximation results for these operators. We also determine the order of approximation, and the rate

Nonlocal Probability Theory: General Fractional Calculus Approach
Nonlocal generalization of the standard (classical) probability theory of a continuous distribution on a positive semi-axis is proposed. An approach to the formulation of a nonlocal generalization of the standard probability theory based on the use of ...

An alternative to the Cauchy distribution
A few generalizations of the Cauchy distribution appear in the literature. In this paper, a new generalization of the Cauchy distribution is proposed, namely, the exponentiated-exponential Cauchy distribution (EECD).

In this article a generalization of the inverse Rayleigh distribution has been addressed by using DUS transformation, named as Exponential Transformed Inverse Rayleigh (ETIR) distribution.

Generalized exponential and logarithmic functions
Generalizations of the exponential and logarithmic functions are defined and an investigation is made of two possible versions of these functions. Some applications are described, including computer arithmetic, properties of very large and very small numbers, and the determination of functional roots.

On a generalization of an upper bound for the exponential function [PDF]
With the introduction of a new parameter n, Kim recently generalized an upper bound for the exponential function that implies the inequality between the arithmetic and geometric means.
