Weighted k-Server Bounds via Combinatorial Dichotomies
The weighted $k$-server problem is a natural generalization of the $k$-server problem where each server has a different weight. We consider the problem on uniform metrics, which corresponds to a natural generalization of paging.

Generalized exponential and logarithmic functions
Generalizations of the exponential and logarithmic functions are defined and an investigation is made of two possible versions of these functions. Some applications are described, including computer arithmetic, properties of very large and very small numbers, and the determination of functional roots.

Quantization for Low-Rank Matrix Recovery
We study Sigma-Delta quantization methods coupled with appropriate reconstruction algorithms for digitizing randomly sampled low-rank matrices. We show that the reconstruction error associated with our methods decays polynomially with the oversampling ...

Exponential generating functions for the associated Bessel functions [PDF]
Similar to the associated Legendre functions, the differential equation for the associated Bessel functions $B_{l,m}(x)$ is introduced so that its form remains invariant under the transformation $l\rightarrow -l-1$. A Rodrigues formula for the associated Bessel functions as squared integrable solutions in both regions $l<0$ and $l\geq 0$ is ...

This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

Dunkl generalization of Phillips operators and approximation in weighted spaces
The purpose of this article is to introduce a modification of Phillips operators on the interval [ 1 2 , ∞ ) $[ \frac{1}{2},\infty ) $ via a Dunkl generalization. We further define the Stancu type generalization of these operators as S n , υ ∗ ( f ; x ) =

APPROXIMATE GENERALIZED EXPONENTIAL FUNCTIONS [PDF]
In this paper we prove the superstability of a generalized exponential functional equation . It is a generalization of the superstability theorem for the exponential functional equation proved by Baker. Also we investigate the stability of this functional equation in the following form : .
