Least Generalizations under Implication

open access: yes, 1996
. One of the most prominent approaches in Inductive Logic Programming is the use of least generalizations under subsumption of given clauses. However, subsumption is weaker than logical implication, and not very well suited for handling recursive clauses.

Searching for Generalizations in Business Marketing Negotiations

open access: yes
In this paper we investigate how to make empirical generalizations in marketing. We argue that for substantive empirical generalizations to exist in an area, there should be a sufficient body of research about recurring phenomena. We outline criteria and

Green's relations and their generalizations on semigroups

open access: yes, 2010
Green's relations and their generalizations on semigroups are useful in studying regular semigroups and their generalizations. In this paper, we first give a brief survey of this topic.

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Transcriptional profiling of circulating extracellular vesicles from prebiopsy prostate cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
RNA profiling of circulating extracellular vesicles (EVs) from blood samples of men undergoing prostate biopsy identifies transcripts associated with clinically significant prostate cancer. Integrative analysis with public tumor datasets links EV‐derived gene signatures to tumor stage and progression‐free survival, highlighting CASP3, XRCC2, and RIT1 ...

Integrating Generalizations with Exemplar-Based Reasoning [PDF]

open access: yes, 1989
Knowledge represented as generalizations is insufficient for problem solving in many domains, such as legal reasoning, because of a gap between the language of case-descriptions and the language in which generalizations are expressed, and because of the ...

Adaptor protein CIN85 potentiates the motility of osteosarcoma cells via the Akt/mTOR and MMP2‐COL3A1 axis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CIN85 is highly expressed in osteosarcoma, particularly in metastatic lesions. Its overexpression increases cell migration and Matrigel invasion, while silencing CIN85 suppresses these behaviors. Transcriptome analysis shows that CIN85 regulates MMP2, COL3A1, and Akt/mTOR signaling. Targeting these pathways reverses CIN85‐induced motility, highlighting
