Experience With Performing Rheocarna Therapy via the Single‐Needle Method for Treatment of Chronic Limb‐Threatening Ischemia

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction This study investigated the safety and efficacy of single‐needle Rheocarna therapy for chronic limb‐threatening ischemia (CLTI) with wounds. Methods Six patients with CLTI involving ulcers unresponsive to revascularization underwent single‐needle Rheocarna treatment.

Enteropathogenic E. coli shows delayed attachment and host response in human jejunum organoid‐derived monolayers compared to HeLa cells

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Enteropathogenic E. coli (EPEC) infects the human intestinal epithelium, resulting in severe illness and diarrhoea. In this study, we compared the infection of cancer‐derived cell lines with human organoid‐derived models of the small intestine. We observed a delayed in attachment, inflammation and cell death on primary cells, indicating that host ...

Generalizations of Weighted Trapezoidal Inequality for Mappings of Bounded Variation and their Applications

open access: yes, 2003
In this paper, we establish some generalizations of weighted trapezoid inequality for mappings of bounded variation, and give several applications for r − moment, the expectation of a continuous random variable and the Beta ...

Generalizations of orthogonal polynomials

open access: yes, 2005
We give a survey of recent generalizations of orthogonal polynomials. That includes multidimensional (matrix and vector orthogonal polynomials) and multivariate versions, multipole (orthogonal rational functions) variants, and extensions of the ...

Generative AI to Generate Test Data Generators

open access: yesIEEE Software
Generating fake data is an essential dimension of modern software testing, as demonstrated by the number and significance of data faking libraries. Yet, developers of faking libraries cannot keep up with the wide range of data to be generated for different natural languages and domains.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Generalizations of Parikh mappings

open access: yes, 2009
Parikh matrices have become a useful tool for investigation of subword structure of words. Several generalizations of this concept have been considered.

Generic Extensions and Generic Polynomials

open access: yesJournal of Symbolic Computation, 2000
In the paper under review the author proves that the existence of generic polynomials and generic extensions [in the sense of \textit{D. J. Saltman}, Adv. Math. 43, 250-283 (1982; Zbl 0484.12004)] are equivalent over an infinite field. Here one calls a monic polynomial \(P(s_1,\dots,s_m;X) \in K(s_1,\dots,s_m)[X]\), where \(s_1,\dots,s_m\) are ...
