Two optimality results about sample path properties of Operator Scaling Gaussian Random Fields

open access: yes, 2010
We study the sample paths properties of Operator scaling Gaussian random fields. Such fields are anisotropic generalizations of self-similar fields. Some characteristic properties of the anisotropy are revealed by the regularity of the sample paths.

Hölder regularity for operator scaling stable random fields

open access: yes, 2009
International audienceWe investigate the sample paths regularity of operator scaling alpha-stable random fields. Such fields were introduced as anisotropic generalizations of self-similar fields and satisfy a scaling property for a real matrix E.

Novel knotted non-Abelian gauge fields

open access: yes
In analogy to null electromagnetic fields we define null Yang-Mills (YM) fields. We show that the null non-Abelian SU(N) gauge fields admit a set of 2N2 conserved helicities. We derive null YM solutions that carry finite helicities by uplifting the ...

Generic multiplicative endomorphism of a field

open access: yesAnnals of Pure and Applied Logic
We introduce the model-companion of the theory of fields expanded by a unary function for a multiplicative map, which we call ACFH. Among others, we prove that this theory is NSOP$_1$ and not simple, that the kernel of the map is a generic pseudo-finite abelian group.

Some useful generalizations of first order languages

open access: yes, 1971
We begin with a disucssion of some of the serious deficiencies of first order predicate languages. These include the non-characterizability by first order sentences of such common mathematical structures as the class of well-ordered sets, the class of ...
