Convergence domains of the SSOR method for a class of generalized consistently ordered matrices
The functional equation relating the eigenvalues of the block Symmetric Successive Overrelaxation (SSOR) iteration matrix with those of the block Jacobi iteration matrix found by Chong and Cai (1985) is used in order to obtain precise domains of ...

Convergence acceleration on a general class of power series
Computing, 1978In this paper we present several efficient methods for evaluating functions defined by power series expansions. Simple computer codes for two rapid algorithms are given in a companion paper. The convergence rates of the proposed computational schemes are investigated theoretically and the results are illustrated by numerical examples.

On a class of computationally efficient, rapidly converging, generalized NLMS algorithms
IEEE Signal Processing Letters, 1996Over the last decade, a certain computationally efficient, rapidly converging adaptive filtering algorithm has been independently discovered many times. The algorithm can be viewed as a generalization of the normalized LMS (NLMS) algorithm that updates on the basis of multiple input signal vectors.

Convergence of a General Class of Algorithms for Separated Continuous Linear Programs
SIAM Journal on Optimization, 2000The paper provides a proof of convergence of a class of algorithms for separated continuous linear programming problems, a subclass of continuous linear programs. The author reviews results and a (general) algorithm from a previous paper and proves convergence of the algorithm under some assumptions on problem data.

On Convergence and Stability of the Generalized Noor Iterations for a General Class of Operators
British Journal of Mathematics & Computer Science, 2013In this paper, we establish some strong convergence and stability results of multistep iterative scheme for a general class of operators introduced by Bosede and Rhoades [5] in a Banach space. As corollaries, some convergence and stability results for the Noor, Ishikawa, Mann and Picard iterative schemes are also established. Our convergence results

More general classes of functions; conditional convergence
1967In the problems with which we started in § 1, we had a basic class of functions ϕ (decreasing, or positive, or with decreasing or positive Fourier coefficients) and multipliers t−γ and nγ−1; the problem was to show that ∫|ϕ(t)t−γ dt exists if and only if ∑ nγ−1 |λ n | is finite, or at least that the existence of one of these implies the existence of ...
