Space–time proper generalized decompositions for the resolution of transient elastodynamic models [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
In this paper, we investigate ability of proper generalized decomposition (PGD) to solve transient elastodynamic models in space–time domain. Classical methods use time integration schemes and an incremental resolution process.

Existence and Approximation of Attractive Points of the Widely More Generalized Hybrid Mappings in Hilbert Spaces

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2013
We study the widely more generalized hybrid mappings which have been proposed to unify several well-known nonlinear mappings including the nonexpansive mappings, nonspreading mappings, hybrid mappings, and generalized hybrid mappings.

On convergence conditions for generalized Persidskii systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2021
International audienceThe convergence conditions for a class of generalized Persidskii systems and their discretized dynamics are introduced, which can be checked through linear (matrix) inequalities.

Existence and algorithm of solutions for generalized nonlinear variational-like inequalities

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 2005
We introduce and study a new class of generalized nonlinear variational-like inequalities. Under suitable conditions, we prove the existence of solutions for the class of generalized nonlinear variational-like inequalities.

Fixed-Point Approximations of Generalized Nonexpansive Mappings via Generalized M-Iteration Process in Hyperbolic Spaces

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 2020
In this paper, we propose the generalized M-iteration process for approximating the fixed points from Banach spaces to hyperbolic spaces. Using our new iteration process, we prove Δ-convergence and strong convergence theorems for the class of mappings ...

Ideal minimal residual-based proper generalized decomposition for non-symmetric multi-field models – Application to transient elastodynamics in space-time domain [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
It is now well established that separated representations built with the help of proper generalized decomposition (PGD) can drastically reduce computational costs associated with solution of a wide variety of problems.

A Class of Generalized Quasi-Newton Algorithms with Superlinear Convergence [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
: In this paper, we present a class of new generalized quasi-Newton algorithms for unconstrained optimization. The new algorithms are very extensive, including the algorithms in Jiao's paper and also in Zhangs' even the class of Broyden.

Iterative algorithm for fixed point problems of generalized nearly asymptotically nonexpansive mappings and solutions of a system of generalized nonlinear variational-like inclusions

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2022
This paper is devoted to the study of a class of generalized nonexpansive mappings called generalized nearly asymptotically nonexpansive mappings and to show that it properly includes the class of nearly asymptotically nonexpansive mappings.

On the Convergence of a General Class of Finite Volume Methods

open access: yesSIAM Journal on Numerical Analysis, 2005
For discretizing in space, finite volume methods use cell average information. To be more precise, for a fixed time such cell averages are employed to reconstruct the unknown function approximately. For a good reconstruction in regions where the solution is known or expected to be smooth, a higher order reconstruction scheme is desirable.
