Molecular dynamics simulations of positively selected codons in FcγRI reveal novel biochemical binding properties

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Evolutionary analysis across 32 placental mammals identified positive selection at residues H148 and W149 in the immune receptor FcγR1. Ancestral reconstruction combined with molecular dynamics simulations reveals how these mutations may influence receptor structure and dynamics, providing insight into the evolution of antibody recognition and immune ...

Generalized Symmetries of Massless Free Fields on Minkowski Space

open access: yesSymmetry, Integrability and Geometry: Methods and Applications, 2008
A complete and explicit classification of generalized, or local, symmetries of massless free fields of spin s ≥ 1/2 is carried out. Up to equivalence, these are found to consists of the conformal symmetries and their duals, new chiral symmetries of order

Directed evolution of enzymes at the crossroads of tradition and innovation

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
An iterative cycle of data‐driven enzyme optimization comprising four stages: genetic diversification of a template enzyme, expression of protein variants, high‐throughput evaluation, and machine‐learning‐guided redesign of the next variant library.

Saigo Fractional q-Differentiation Operator Involving Generalized q-Mittag–Leffler Function

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics
The purpose of this study is to obtain the images of the generalized q-analogue of Mittag–Leffler functions under the Saigo fractional q-differentiation operator, where its argument consists of a factor xζxq−μ+ξ−θ.

Accurate and noninvasive prostate cancer detection using plasma‐derived extracellular vesicle RNA

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Plasma extracellular vesicles were captured with WGA‐conjugated magnetic beads and profiled for RNA biomarkers. A three‐RNA panel (NM_024955, NR_047469, and NR_002564) distinguished prostate cancer from healthy controls and benign prostatic hyperplasia, supporting a simple, noninvasive approach to improve prostate cancer detection.

A Minimax-Program-Based Approach for Robust Fractional Multi-Objective Optimization

open access: yesMathematics
In this paper, by making use of some advanced tools from variational analysis and generalized differentiation, we establish necessary optimality conditions for a class of robust fractional minimax programming problems.

INTEGRATED REPRESENTATIONS OF FUNCTIONS IN NUMERICAL METHODS OF THE SOLUTION OF NON-STATIONARY PROBLEMS OF TRANSFER

open access: yesВестник Северо-Кавказского федерального университета, 2022
The non-stationary equation of transfer of impurity in the atmosphere is considered and for it creation of it-erative computing algorithm on the basis of operators of the generalized differentiation of the functions corre-sponding to empirical data of a ...

REGIONAL DIFFERENTIATION OF TUBERCULOSIS MORTALITY IN THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION (1975-2014)

open access: yesТуберкулез и болезни лёгких, 2017
Tuberculosis mortality was analyzed basing on regional differentiation in the Russian Federation in 1975-2014. Stable differences between regions when distributing this rate and its changes through time were evaluated as per two geographical regions. One

Generating sexually differentiated songs

open access: yesCurrent Opinion in Neurobiology, 1997
The past year has witnessed increased confusion as to the role of gonadal hormones in the development of neuroeffectors for sexually differentiated vocalizations in several species. Are sex differences in levels of circulating gonadal hormones robust enough to account for the full spectrum of male/female differences?

Heterotropic regulation and negative homotropic cooperativity

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We identified a structural module common to some proteins that couple negative cooperativity with heterotropic regulation, two features that rarely coexist. These proteins are ring‐like and present an ordered asymmetry whereby noncontacting subunits are symmetric, and their tertiary structure differs from that of contacting subunits.
