Negative affect instability predicts elevated depressive and generalized anxiety disorder symptoms even when negative affect intensity is controlled for: an ecological momentary assessment study

open access: yesFrontiers in Psychology
IntroductionMood and anxiety disorders are characterized by abnormal levels of positive affect (PA), negative affect (NA) and changes in how emotions unfold over time.

Solving hyperchaotic initial value problems using second derivative extended trapezoidal rule of the second kind blended with generalized backward differentiation formulae with variable step size

open access: yesRecent Advances in Natural Sciences
This paper aims to evaluate the accuracy and performance of the second derivative block extended trapezoidal rule of the second kind, blended with generalized backward differentiation formulae using variable step sizes, in solving hyperchaotic initial ...

Differentiation between the like and unlike isomers of dimethyl 3,4-di(p-anisyl)adipate using 1H NMR spectroscopy

open access: yesJournal of the Brazilian Chemical Society, 2000
The differentiation between the like and unlike isomers of the title compound, achieved by combined use of ¹H NMR spectroscopy, spectral simulation and Molecular Mechanics, correlated by means of the Altona Equation (a generalized version of the Karplus ...

Computing the Dirichlet-to-Neumann map via an integral equation with the adjoint generalized Neumann kernel

open access: yesPartial Differential Equations in Applied Mathematics
A new numerical method for computing the Dirichlet-to-Neumann map for Laplace’s equation in simply and multiply connected smooth domains is introduced. This method is based on an integral equation with the adjoint generalized Neumann kernel.

Spectral properties of fractional differentiation operators

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2018
We consider the fractional differentiation operators in a variety of senses. We show that the strong accretive property is the common property of fractional differentiation operators.

An Equivalent Representation of Generalized Differentials

open access: yesCoRR
We propose an equivalent formula for the higher-order derivatives used in the study of Generalized Almost Perfect Nonlinear functions over an arbitrary finite field of characteristic $p$. The result is obtained by counting the number of subsets of the prime field with a fixed cardinality for which the sum of their elements is constant.

Problem with shift for the third-order equation with discontinuous coefficients

open access: yesVestnik Samarskogo Gosudarstvennogo Tehničeskogo Universiteta. Seriâ: Fiziko-Matematičeskie Nauki, 2012
The unique solvability of boundary value problem with Saigo operators for the thirdorder equation with multiple characteristics was investigated. The uniqueness theorem with constraints of inequality type on the known functions and different orders of ...

Mechanistic Knowledge Generalizes Differentially.

open access: yes, 2018
Abstract: When inferring the extent of others’ knowledgefrom samples of what they know, certain kinds of samplesimply richer content. One candidate kind is knowledge ofcausal mechanism. In the current study, we investigatewhether children and adults think that knowledge aboutmechanism generalizes more broadly than non-mechanisticfactual knowledge.

On a problem with a displacement for a partial differential equation

open access: yesVestnik Samarskogo Gosudarstvennogo Tehničeskogo Universiteta. Seriâ: Fiziko-Matematičeskie Nauki, 2013
The unique solvability of the problem with the generalized operators of fractional integro-differentiation in the boundary condition is investigated for the mixed type equation. The uniqueness theorem for the nonlocal problem is proved.
