Generalized Poisson-Dirichlet distributions based on the Dickman subordinator

Value Distribution of General Dirichlet Series. V

Lithuanian Mathematical Journal, 2004
Let \(s\) be a complex variable; then the series \(f_j(s)=\sum_{m=1}^\infty a_{mj}\exp(-s\lambda_m)\) is called a general Dirichlet series. In the present paper, the authors prove a joint universality theorem (in the sense of Voronin) for a family of general Dirichlet series \(f_j(s)\) subject to certain, mostly natural, conditions on the arithmetic of

The generalized dirichlet distribution in enhanced topic detection

Proceedings of the 21st ACM international conference on Information and knowledge management, 2012
We present a new, robust and computationally efficient Hierarchical Bayesian model for effective topic correlation modeling. We model the prior distribution of topics by a Generalized Dirichlet distribution (GD) rather than a Dirichlet distribution as in Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA). We define this model as GD-LDA.

A hierarchical Dirichlet process mixture of generalized Dirichlet distributions for feature selection

Computers & Electrical Engineering, 2015
Display Omitted A statistical framework based on hierarchical Dirichlet processes and generalized Dirichlet distribution is developed. The framework simultaneously performs model parameters estimations as well as model complexity determination. The learning of the model is done via variational Bayes inference. The efficiency of the proposed algorithm is ...

A Dirichlet Process Mixture of Generalized Dirichlet Distributions for Proportional Data Modeling

IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks, 2010
In this paper, we propose a clustering algorithm based on both Dirichlet processes and generalized Dirichlet distribution which has been shown to be very flexible for proportional data modeling. Our approach can be viewed as an extension of the finite generalized Dirichlet mixture model to the infinite case.

Dirichlet Process Mixture of Generalized Inverted Dirichlet Distributions for Positive Vector Data With Extended Variational Inference

IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems, 2022
A Bayesian nonparametric approach for estimation of a Dirichlet process (DP) mixture of generalized inverted Dirichlet distributions [i.e., an infinite generalized inverted Dirichlet mixture model (InGIDMM)] has been proposed. The generalized inverted Dirichlet distribution has been proven to be efficient in modeling the vectors that contain only ...

A Generalized Dirichlet Distribution Accounting for Singularities of the Variables

Biometrics, 1996
Summary: A multivariate generalized Dirichlet distribution has been formulated for the case where the stochastic variables are allowed to have singularities at 0 and 1. Small sample properties of the estimates of moments of the variables based on maximum likelihood estimates of the parameters have been compared to the empirical moments.

Concepts of Independence for Proportions with a Generalization of the Dirichlet Distribution

Journal of the American Statistical Association, 1969
Abstract Concepts of independence for nonnegative continuous random variables, X 1, …, Xk , subject to the constraint ΣXi = 1 are developed. These concepts provide a means of modeling random vectors of proportions which is useful in analyzing certain kinds of data; and which may be of interest in quantifying prior opinions about multinomial parameters.
