Adapting to Unknown Disturbance Autocorrelation in Regression with Long Memory [PDF]

open access: yes
We show that it is possible to adapt to nonparametric disturbance auto-correlation in time series regression in the presence of long memory in both regressors and disturbances by using a smoothed nonparametric spectrum estimate in frequency-domain ...

Elderly depressive disturb: the social context and environment as generators of such disturbs

open access: yes, 2006
Living in institutions for the elder may be a result of the low quality of life or family relations. Also, for the lack of their own resources, high dependence, lack of references caused by the death of people who were meaningful for them. However, living at home may prevent the elder from being in the same situation of the institutionalized when we ...

Microscopic Origin of Temperature‐Dependent Anisotropic Heat Transport in Ultrawide‐Bandgap Rutile GeO2

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Rutile GeO2${\rm GeO}_{2}$ exhibits orientation‐dependent heat transport with temperature‐dependent anisotropy, showing higher cross‐plane thermal conductivity along [001] than along the equivalent in‐plane [100] and [010] directions. Temperature‐dependent TDTR measurements and first‐principles phonon calculations identify the microscopic phonon ...

Flash Assembloids: A Rapid Biofabrication of a Platform for Modeling Early Glioblastoma Invasion at the Glioblastoma–Brain Organoid Interfaces

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents a bioengineered assembloid (ASM) system combining glioblastoma (GBM) cells in oxidized alginate (OA) microgels with dorsal organoids (DOs). This model simulates brain tumor‐host interactions, revealing enhanced GBM invasion, altered gene expression, and aggressive infiltration patterns, demonstrating ASM as a valuable platform for ...

Mismatched Disturbance Rejection Control for Second-Order Discrete-Time Systems

open access: yes, 2022
This paper is concerned with mismatched disturbance rejection control for the second-order discrete-time systems.Different from previous work, the controllability of the system is applied to design the disturbance compensation gain, which does not ...

Mediating role of loneliness and emotional disturbance in the association between childhood trauma and occupational burnout among nurses: a cross-sectional study

open access: yesFrontiers in Psychiatry
BackgroundThe occupational burnout status of nurses in China warrants attention. Childhood trauma, loneliness, and emotional disturbance are significant predictors of this burnout, yet few studies have delved into the underlying mechanisms.

Affinity‐Tuned Albumin Hitchhiking Extends the Bioorthogonal Capture Window in Pretargeting Radiotheranostics

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Pharmacokinetic engineering of clickable radioligands was achieved via albumin hitchhiking approach within a pretargeted radiotheranostics delivery platform. This approach reduced rapid renal elimination, expanded bioorthogonal capture window, boosted tumor uptake by ∼3.5‐fold, and improved the tumor‐to‐liver ratio by ∼6‐fold.

Temporal patterns of sleep disturbance, anxiety, and depressed mood in generalized anxiety disorder [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Studies suggest that sleep disturbance may be an important etiological factor in the development of comorbid anxiety and depressive disorders, whereby anxiety leads to sleep difficulties, which in turn increase the vulnerability for depression.

Pregabalin reduces sleep disturbance in patients with generalized anxiety disorder via both direct and indirect mechanisms

open access: yes, 2010
Background and Objectives: To characterize the impact of pregabalin on sleep in patients with generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) and to determine whether the impact is a direct or an indirect effect, mediated through the reduction of anxiety symptoms ...

Strain Engineering of Magnetoresistance and Magnetic Anisotropy in CrSBr

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Biaxial compressive strain significantly enhances magnetoresistance and critical saturation fields in thin flakes of the 2D magnet CrSBr, along all three crystallographic axes. First‐principles calculations link these effects to strain‐induced increases in exchange interactions and magnetic anisotropy.
