Stability Bounds for the Generalized Kadanoff‐Baym Ansatz in the Holstein Dimer

open access: yesContributions to Plasma Physics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Predicting real‐time dynamics in correlated systems is demanding: exact two‐time Green's function methods are accurate but often too costly, while the Generalized Kadanoff‐Baym Ansatz (GKBA) offers time‐linear propagation at the risk of uncontrolled behavior. We examine when and why GKBA fails in a minimal yet informative setting, the Holstein

Quantifying Model Selection Uncertainty in Structural Analysis: Methodology and Application

open access: yesEarthquake Engineering &Structural Dynamics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT With increasing focus on complex engineering systems under rare events, computational models are critical for predictions due to the scarcity or absence of data. However, selecting an appropriate model can be challenging. Using a single model without available test calibration could result in significant bias in performance predictions. A case

The Computational Solution of Generalized Inverse Eigenvalue Problem for Pseudo-Jacobi Matrix

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics
This paper is concerned with two generalized inverse eigenvalue problems for a kind of pseudo-Jacobi matrix. From a non-Hermite matrix, an r×r Jacobi matrix, two distinct real eigenvalues, and part of the corresponding eigenvectors, an n×n pseudo-Jacobi ...

The Impact of Renewable and Non‐Renewable Energy on Economic Growth: Evidence From Sub‐Saharan African Countries Using Multivariate Panel Vector Autoregressive Modeling

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, EarlyView.
This study analyzes energy consumption and economic growth across 39 Sub‐Saharan African countries using a PVAR model. Findings reveal that non‐renewable energy and labor force growth stimulate economic growth, while renewable energy does not stimulate economic growth in the short run.

Integrability, exact solutions and nonlinear dynamics of a nonisospectral integral-differential system

open access: yesOpen Physics, 2019
The investigations of integrability, exact solutions and dynamics of nonlinear partial differential equations (PDEs) are vital issues in nonlinear mathematical physics.

A class of second order BVPs on infinite intervals

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations, 2006
In this work, we are concerned with a boundary value problem associated with a generalized Fisher-like equation. This equation involves an eigenvalue and a parameter which may be viewed as a wave speed.

Mechanism and Control Analysis of Synchronous Frequency Resonance in Distributed Power Generation System Connected to Grid

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, EarlyView.
Small‐signal modeling reveals that insufficient system damping positions conjugate poles near the imaginary axis, fundamentally explaining the SFR mechanism. A virtual resistance control is consequently proposed to damp the resonance and effectively suppress SFR, which is validated through Hardware‐in‐the‐Loop experiments.

Single and Dual-GPU Generalized Sparse Eigenvalue Solvers for Finding a Few Low-Order Resonances of a Microwave Cavity Using the Finite-Element Method [PDF]

open access: yesRadioengineering, 2018
This paper presents two fast generalized eigenvalue solvers for sparse symmetric matrices that arise when electromagnetic cavity resonances are investigated using the higher-order finite element method (FEM).

Convolution algebras arising from Sturm-Liouville transforms and applications

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 2001
A regular Sturm-Liouville eigenvalue problem gives rise to a related linear integral transform. Churchill has shown how such an integral transform yields, under certain circumstances, a generalized convolution operation.
