Refinement equations for generalized translations
We study refinement equations which relate the dilation of a function with generalized translates of the function, consisting of convolutions against certain kernels including Cauchy and Gaussian densities; solutions are expressed in terms of solutions ...

Clustering Algorithm Reveals Dopamine‐Motor Mismatch in Cognitively Preserved Parkinson's Disease
ABSTRACT Objective To explore the relationship between dopaminergic denervation and motor impairment in two de novo Parkinson's disease (PD) cohorts. Methods n = 249 PD patients from Parkinson's Progression Markers Initiative (PPMI) and n = 84 from an external clinical cohort.

Impact of Asymptomatic Intracranial Hemorrhage on Outcome After Endovascular Stroke Treatment
ABSTRACT Background Endovascular treatment (EVT) achieves high rates of recanalization in acute large‐vessel occlusion (LVO) stroke, but functional recovery remains heterogeneous. While symptomatic intracranial hemorrhage (sICH) has been well studied, the prognostic impact of asymptomatic intracranial hemorrhage (aICH) after EVT is less certain ...

Renormalization of Generalized KPZ Equation [PDF]
We use Renormalization Group to prove local well posedness for a generalized KPZ equation introduced by H. Spohn in the context of stochastic hydrodynamics. The equation requires the addition of counter terms diverging with a cutoff $ε$ as $ε^{-1}$ and $\logε^{-1}$.

Proper generalized decomposition of time-multiscale models [PDF]
Models encountered in computational mechanics could involve many time scales. When these time scales cannot be separated, one must solve the evolution model in the entire time interval by using the finest time step that the model implies.

ABSTRACT Background Accessing brain magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) can be challenging, especially for underserved patients, which may lead to disparities in neurological diagnosis. Method This mixed‐methods study enrolled adults with one of four neurological disorders: mild cognitive impairment or dementia of the Alzheimer type, multiple sclerosis ...

Fixed Points and Stability for Functional Equations in Probabilistic Metric and Random Normed Spaces
We prove a general Ulam-Hyers stability theorem for a nonlinear equation in probabilistic metric spaces, which is then used to obtain stability properties for different kinds of functional equations (linear functional equations, generalized equation of ...

Are there BPS dyons in the generalized SU(2) Yang–Mills–Higgs model?
We use the well-known Bogomolny’s equations, in general coordinate system, for BPS monopoles and dyons in the SU(2) Yang–Mills–Higgs model to obtain an explicit form of BPS Lagrangian density under the BPS Lagrangian method.

The paper deals with the \(d\)-dimensional generalized MHD (GMHD) equations \[ \begin{aligned} &\partial_{t}u + u\cdot \nabla u =-\nabla P + b \cdot \nabla b - \nu (-\Delta)^{\alpha} u,\\ &\partial_{t}b + u \cdot \nabla b= b \cdot \nabla u - \eta (-\Delta)^{\beta} b, \end{aligned} \] where the fractional power \((-\Delta)^{\alpha}\) is defined via a ...
