The Generalized Extreme Value (GEV) Distribution, Implied Tail Index and Option Pricing [PDF]
Crisis events such as the 1987 stock market crash, the Asian Crisis and the bursting of the Dot-Com bubble have radically changed the view that extreme events in financial markets have negligible probability.

Blind Signal Separation Using an Adaptive Generalized Compound Gamma Distribution
We propose an independent component analysis (ICA) algorithm which can separate mixtures of sub- and super- Gaussian source signals with self-adaptive nonlinearities. The ICA algorithm in the framework of natural Riemannian gradient, is derived using the

Pharmacokinetic engineering of clickable radioligands was achieved via albumin hitchhiking approach within a pretargeted radiotheranostics delivery platform. This approach reduced rapid renal elimination, expanded bioorthogonal capture window, boosted tumor uptake by ∼3.5‐fold, and improved the tumor‐to‐liver ratio by ∼6‐fold.

A Versatile Distribution Based on the Incomplete Gamma Function: Characterization and Applications
In this study, we introduce a novel distribution related to the gamma distribution, referred to as the generalized incomplete gamma distribution. This new family is defined through a stochastic representation involving a linear transformation of a random

The gamma generalized normal distribution: A descriptor of SAR imagery
We propose a new four-parameter distribution for modeling synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imagery named the gamma generalized normal (GGN) by combining the gamma and generalized normal distributions. A mathematical characterization of the new distribution is provided by identifying the limit behavior and by calculating the density and moment expansions.

Robust Estimators of the Generalized Log-Gamma Distribution
We propose robust estimators of the generalized log-gamma distribution and, more generally, of location-shape-scale families of distributions. A (weighted) Qτ estimator minimizes a τ scale of the differences between empirical and theoretical quantiles.

Modeling SAR Images Based on a Generalized Gamma Distribution for Texture Component
In the applications of synthetic aperture radar (SAR) data, a crucial problem is to develop precise models for the statistics of the pixel amplitudes or intensities. In this paper, a new statistical model, called simply here Gii, is proposed based on the

Densities of composite Weibullized generalized gamma variables [PDF]
ArticleThe Weibullized generalized gamma distribution, which is a very exible distribution due to it richness in parameter structure, is derived by introducing the Weibullizing constant to the generalized gamma distribution.

Theoretical Properties of the Weighted Generalized Gamma Distribution and Related Distributions
A new class of weighted generalized gamma distribution (WGGD) and related distributions are presented. Theoretical properties of the generalized gamma model, WGGD including the hazard function, reverse hazard function, moments, coefficient of variation ...
