A generalization of the negative binomial distribution

open access: yesJournal of Biostatistics and Epidemiology, 2017
Background & Aim: Consider a sequence of independent Bernoulli trials with p denoting the probability of success at each trial. With this definition, the probability that the nth success proceed by r failures follows the negative binomial distribution ...

A generalized Gompertz promotion time cure model and its fitness to cancer data

open access: yesHeliyon
The cure models based on standard distributions like exponential, Weibull, lognormal, Gompertz, gamma, are often used to analyze survival data from cancer clinical trials with long-term survivors.

PARAMETER ESTIMATION OF THE GENERALIZED GAMMA DISTRIBUTION

open access: yes, 2006
International audienceThis article focuses on the parameter estimation of the generalized gamma distribution. Because of many difficulties described in the literature to estimate the parameters, we propose here a new estimation method.

A New Gamma Generalized Lindley-Loglogistic Distribution with Applications

open access: yes, 2021
A new distribution called the gamma exponentiated Lindley Log-logistic (GELLLoG) distribution is developed. Some properties of the new distribution including hazard function, quantile function, moments, conditional moments, mean and median deviations ...

Polymorph‐Specific Electronic Transduction in WO3 during Molecular Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Metal‐oxide polymorphs with similar surface chemistry can nevertheless exhibit distinct sensing properties. In γ‐ and ε‐WO3, analyte adsorption appears comparable; yet, only ε‐WO3 induces a pronounced lattice electronic perturbation that accommodates charge in sub‐conduction band minimum states.

A Neutrosophic Generalized Gamma Approach to Modeling PRL, LH, and Testosterone in Beagles

open access: yesITEGAM-JETIA
The Classical Generalized Gamma Distribution (GGD) has been widely applied in survival analysis, hydrology, and reliability engineering due to its flexibility in handling diverse data patterns.

Evidence for Itinerant Ferromagnetic Flat Bands Producing Large Transverse Responses

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Itinerant ferromagnetic flat bands are demonstrated in GdCo5 with a high Curie temperature of 940K, a stacked honeycomb–kagome lattice, through angle‐resolved photoemission spectroscopy and magneto‐thermoelectric measurements. These topological flat bands generate large Berry curvaturte, producing gigantic anomalous Nernst effect with record‐high ...

A new extension of generalized beta distribution: statistical properties, prediction estimation and application in failure components and physics data

open access: yesScientific African
This study presents a generalized function of the beta distribution combined with the gamma distribution, resulting in the compound generalized beta (CG-Beta) distribution.

LEAD: Literature Enhanced Ab Initio Discovery of Nitride Dusting Layers for Enhanced Tunnel Magnetoresistance and Lower Resistance Magnetic Tunnel Junctions

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Magnetic tunnel junctions (MTJs) using MgO tunnel barriers face challenges of high resistance‐area product and low tunnel magnetoresistance (TMR). To discover alternative materials, Literature Enhanced Ab initio Discovery (LEAD) is developed. The LEAD‐predicted materials are theoretically evaluated, showing that MTJs with dusting of ScN or TiN on ...

A Generalized Gamma-Weibull Distribution: Model, Properties and Applications

open access: yes, 2016
We prepare a new method to generate family of distributions. Then, a family of univariate distributions generated by the Gamma random variable is defined.
