An autoregressive model based on the generalized hyperbolic distribution [PDF]
AbstractWe define a nonlinear autoregressive time series model based on the generalized hyperbolic distribution in an attempt to model time series with non‐Gaussian features such as skewness and heavy tails. We show that the resulting process has a simple condition for stationarity and it is also ergodic.

Opportunities of Semiconducting Oxide Nanostructures as Advanced Luminescent Materials in Photonics
The review discusses the challenges of wide and ultrawide bandgap semiconducting oxides as a suitable material platform for photonics. They offer great versatility in terms of tuning microstructure, native defects, doping, anisotropy, and micro‐ and nano‐structuring. The review focuses on their light emission, light‐confinement in optical cavities, and

Magnetic tunnel junctions (MTJs) using MgO tunnel barriers face challenges of high resistance‐area product and low tunnel magnetoresistance (TMR). To discover alternative materials, Literature Enhanced Ab initio Discovery (LEAD) is developed. The LEAD‐predicted materials are theoretically evaluated, showing that MTJs with dusting of ScN or TiN on ...

On Mixtures of Gamma distributions, distributions with hyperbolically monotone densities and Generalized Gamma Convolutions (GGC) [PDF]
Let $Y$ be a standard Gamma(k) distributed random variable, $k>0$, and let $X$ be an independent positive random variable. We prove that if $X$ has a hyperbolically monotone density of order $k$ ($HM_k$), then the distributions of $Y\cdot X$ and $Y/X$ are generalized gamma convolutions (GGC). This result extends results of Roynette et al.

Integrated Au nanosheet sensor array enables simultaneous inference of gas concentration and flow rate via deep neural network analysis, without external flow control. ABSTRACT Gas sensor responses are considerably affected by gas flow rates, thereby inhibiting the accurate detection of target gas concentrations in variable‐flow applications such as ...

A dynamical process of several variables
In the space of ϕ-distributions with values belonging to a Banach space, the process described by the problem of partial differential equation has been considered. Conditions under which the process is dynamic have been given.

Comparative analysis of the secure communication schemes based on the generators of hyperbolic strange attractor and strange nonchaotic attractor [PDF]
The purpose of this work is to analyse qualitative features of the information transmission process via several communication schemes based on the synchronization of transmitter and receiver, both being complex signal generators.

Moments of the generalized hyperbolic distribution [PDF]
In this paper we demonstrate a recursive method for obtaining the moments of the generalized hyperbolic distribution. The method is readily programmable for numerical evaluation of moments.

On the Distributional Characterization of Log-returns of a World Stock Index [PDF]
In this paper we identify distributions which suitably fit log-returns of the world stock index (WSI) when these are expressed in units of different currencies.
