Maize productivity based on a distributional regression approach [PDF]
The objective of this work was to propose the use of traditional models based on distributional regression models to analyze maize productivity. The experiment was carried out in an alpha lattice design, with three replicates and 24 blocks.

Use of the geometric mean as a statistic for the scale of the coupled Gaussian distributions [PDF]
The geometric mean is shown to be an appropriate statistic for the scale of a heavy-tailed coupled Gaussian distribution or equivalently the Student's t distribution.

The Matrix Generalized Inverse Gaussian Distribution: Properties and Applications [PDF]
While the Matrix Generalized Inverse Gaussian ($\mathcal{MGIG}$) distribution arises naturally in some settings as a distribution over symmetric positive semi-definite matrices, certain key properties of the distribution and effective ways of sampling from the distribution have not been carefully studied. In this paper, we show that the $\mathcal{MGIG}$

Adaptive Detectors for Two Types of Subspace Targets in an Inverse Gamma Textured Background
Considering an inverse Gamma prior distribution model for texture, the adaptive detection problems for both first order Gaussian and second order Gaussian subspace targets are researched in a compound Gaussian sea clutter.

INVERSE GAUSSIAN REGRESSION MODELING AND ITS APPLICATION IN NEONATAL MORTALITY CASES IN INDONESIA
Inverse Gaussian Regression (IGR) is a suitable model for modeling positively skewed response data, which follows the inverse Gaussian distribution. The IGR model was formed from the Generalized Linear Models (GLM).

Generalization of Two-Sided Length Biased Inverse Gaussian Distributions and Applications
The notion of length-biased distribution can be used to develop adequate models. Length-biased distribution was known as a special case of weighted distribution. In this work, a new class of length-biased distribution, namely the two-sided length-biased inverse Gaussian distribution (TS-LBIG), was introduced.

Characterizations for the Power Inverse Gaussian and Generalized Inverse Gaussian Distributions Based on Conditional Moments [PDF]
In this study, we characterize the power inverse Gaussian and generalized inverse Gaussian distributions based on recurrence relations for conditional moments in terms of hazard rate functions. Relations for conditional moments of the largest order statistic (upper record value) given the second largest order statistic (upper record value) are derived ...

Inverse Gaussian Quadrature and Finite Normal-Mixture Approximation of Generalized Hyperbolic Distribution [PDF]
In this study, a numerical quadrature for the generalized inverse Gaussian distribution is derived from the Gauss-Hermite quadrature by exploiting its relationship with the normal distribution. The proposed quadrature is not Gaussian, but it exactly integrates the polynomials of both positive and negative orders.
