Predicting the Inversive Generator [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
Let p be a prime and let a and b be integers modulo p. The inversive congruential generator (ICG) is a sequence (u n ) of pseudorandom numbers defined by the relation \(U_{n+1}\equiv au{^{-1}_{n}}+b {\rm mod} p\).We show that if b and sufficiently many of the most significant bits of three consecutive values u n of the ICG are given, one can recover in

Some results on Drazin-Dagger matrices, reciprocal matrices, and conjugate EP matrices [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Mahani Mathematical Research
In this paper, a class of matrices, namely, Drazin-dagger matrices, in which the Drazin inverse andthe Moore-Penrose inverse commute, is introduced. Also, some properties of the generalized inverses of these matrices, are investigated.

On Stable Perturbations of the Generalized Drazin Inverses of Closed Linear Operators in Banach Spaces

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2012
We investigate the stable perturbation of the generalized Drazin inverses of closed linear operators in Banach spaces and obtain some new characterizations for the generalized Drazin inverses to have prescribed range and null space.

Weak MPCEP and *CEPMP inverses

open access: yesAnalele Stiintifice ale Universitatii Ovidius Constanta: Seria Matematica
We generalize the systems of equations, which introduced the MPCEP and *CEPMP inverses, using a minimal rank weak Drazin inverse and a minimal rank right weak Drazin inverse.

Design and analysis strategies for robust microbiome ageing research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The gut microbiome changes with age and associates with age‐related morbidity and mortality, establishing it as a potential biomarker and intervention target for ageing. Realising this potential requires methodological rigour, yet distinguishing biological signals from methodological artefacts remains challenging across cohorts. This review provides an

On sparse reflexive generalized inverse

open access: yesOperations Research Letters, 2018
We study sparse generalized inverses $H$ of a rank-$r$ real matrix $A$. We give a construction for reflexive generalized inverses having at most $r^2$ nonzeros. For $r=1$ and for $r=2$ with $A$ nonnegative, we demonstrate how to minimize the (vector) 1-norm over reflexive generalized inverses.

Engineering peptides into antibodies—opportunities and strategies for therapeutic innovation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Peptides and antibodies occupy complementary therapeutic niches. Peptides recognize difficult targets in a compact format, while antibodies add specificity, long half‐life, and effector functions. This review examines strategies that merge both modalities—peptide grafting into loops, terminal and Fc fusions, and bioconjugation—highlighting how ...

Ligand‐dependent transcriptional heterogeneity in cell cycle gene expression delays G1/S entry

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
EGF and HRG induce distinct G1/S progression programs in ErbB2‐amplified BT474 breast cancer cells. Despite activating the potent ErbB2–ErbB3 heterodimer, HRG does not accelerate cell‐cycle entry. Instead, EGF promotes earlier restriction‐point passage via ERK–FOS signaling, whereas HRG activates the AKT–MYC axis, driving transcriptional heterogeneity ...
