A generalized likelihood ratio test for SAR CCD

2012 Conference Record of the Forty Sixth Asilomar Conference on Signals, Systems and Computers (ASILOMAR), 2012
Coherent change detection (CCD) is a powerful technique for detecting minute disturbances in synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imagery. Coherent change detection uses a test statistic to compare, pixel by pixel, two or more SAR images of the same scene. Coherent change detection can detect very small disturbances, not normally visible in SAR or optical ...

An Invariance property of the generalized likelihood ratio test

IEEE Signal Processing Letters, 2003
The generalized likelihood ratio test (GLRT) is invariant with respect to transformations for which the hypothesis testing problem itself is invariant. This result from the statistics literature is presented in the context of some simple signal models.

Generalized Likelihood Ratio Test for Voltage Dip Detection

IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, 2010
An alternative detection algorithm, based on the generalized likelihood ratio test (GLRT), is proposed for the detection of voltage dips in power systems. The proposed method is compared to the classical approaches based on the voltage root mean square.

Comments on: Nonparametric inference with generalized likelihood ratio tests

TEST, 2007
In our discussion we make remarks on the range of the validity of Wilks phenomenon and address the question if one should always try to reach Wilks phenomenon. We discuss the need of bias corrections in test statistics, make some power considerations, and mention some open problems.

Generalized likelihood ratios for quantitative diagnostic test scores

The American Journal of Emergency Medicine, 1997
The reduction of quantitative diagnostic test scores to the dichotomous case is a wasteful and unnecessary simplification in the era of high-speed computing. Physicians could make better use of the information embedded in quantitative test results if modern generalized curve estimation techniques were applied to the likelihood functions of Bayes ...

Iterative Generalized-Likelihood Ratio Test for MIMO Radar

IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing, 2007
We consider a multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) radar system where both the transmitter and receiver have multiple well-separated subarrays with each subarray containing closely spaced antennas. Because of this general antenna configuration, both the coherent processing gain and the spatial diversity gain can be simultaneously achieved.
