“Time‐Tripping” and Memory‐Making: A Grounded Theory of Grounded Theory

open access: yesSymbolic Interaction, EarlyView.
This paper explores the development of grounded theory methodology through the lens of memory studies, introducing the concept of “time‐tripping” as a key generic social process. The paper identifies several sub‐processes of time‐tripping, including “reclaiming,” “resisting,” “retro‐casting,” and “landscaping,” which shape the methodological “imaginary.

New Generalized Morse-Like Potential for Studying the Atomic Interaction in Diatomic Molecules

open access: yes, 2020
In this study, we obtain the approximate analytical solutions of the radial Schrodinger equation for the New Generalized Morse-Like Potential in arbitrary dimensions by using the Nikiforov Uvarov Method. Energy eigenvalues and corresponding eigenfunction are obtain analytically.

Teaching Enjoyment and Vitality as Mediators of Cognitive Flexibility and Reflective Teaching in EFL Teachers: A Mixed‐Methods Serial Mediation Analysis

open access: yesTESOL Quarterly, EarlyView.
Abstract Reflective teaching (RT) is influenced by a range of cognitive, pedagogical, and psycho‐affective factors in second/foreign language (L2) education. However, empirical evidence on the influence of psycho‐affective variables on teachers' reflectivity remains limited.

The Mg2 Potential: A Curve Fitting Study

open access: yes, 1972
Data defining the ground state potential energy curve of the 24Mg2 molecule in the region of the potential minimum have been fitted with Morse, Lennard–Jones 6–12, Lippincott, Morse 6–8, and generalized Lennard–Jones a–b and a–b–6–8 functional forms ...

Modeling the Paths from L2 Use and Socio‐Affective Variables to Communication Skills: A Mixed‐Methods Approach

open access: yesTESOL Quarterly, EarlyView.
Abstract Previous research demonstrated that communication anxiety reduces L2 learners' willingness to communicate and communication frequency, but left unexplored its impact on performance. The current mixed‐methods study investigated factors impacting L2 communication skills.

Approximate analytical solutions of a two-term diatomic molecular potential with centrifugal barrier [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Approximate analytical bound state solutions of the radial Schrodinger equation are studied for a two-term diatomic molecular potential in terms of the hypergeometric functions for the cases where q >= 1 and q = 0.

A reappraisal of the Middle to Later Stone Age prehistory of Morocco Réévaluer la préhistoire du Maroc, du Middle Stone Age au Later Stone Age

open access: yesJournal of the Royal Anthropological Institute, EarlyView.
Over the last 25 years, perceptions of the early prehistory of Northwest Africa have undergone radical changes due to new fieldwork projects and a corresponding growth in scientific interest in the region. Much of this work has been focused in Morocco, known for its extremely rich fossil and archaeological records in caves and rock shelters.

Using Photo‐Elicitation to Make Marginalised Voices Heard and Seen in Human Resource Management Research

open access: yesHuman Resource Management Journal, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Photo‐elicitation (PE) is a qualitative research method that utilises images to obtain a deeper understanding of the perspectives, and beliefs of the research participants. The PE approach can be particularly advantageous for marginalised voices (silenced or underrepresented groups with limited power) by exploring different world views ...

On the stability of Bravais lattices and their Cauchy–Born approximations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
We investigate the stability of Bravais lattices and their Cauchy–Born approximations under periodic perturbations. We formulate a general interaction law and derive its Cauchy–Born continuum limit. We then analyze the atomistic and Cauchy–Born stability
