This study optimized a prototype MR elastography sequence for kidney imaging using standardized phantoms and translated it to in vivo application. Twenty‐one silicone phantoms (2–57.7 kPa stiffness) and five healthy volunteers were imaged using a prototype 2D‐gradient echo sequence at 1.5‐Tesla.
