Influence of Blood Rheology on Hemodialysis Efficiency via Computational Simulation

open access: yesChemical Engineering &Technology, Volume 49, Issue 1, January 2026.
This study presents a CFD framework for hemodialysis that explicitly incorporates cholesterol‐dependent non‐Newtonian blood rheology. By coupling mass transport with the mHAWB model, the work quantifies how rheology alters creatinine removal and optimal operating conditions. ABSTRACT This work presents a computational study of hemodialysis in cocurrent

Separator Design for High‐Performance Aqueous Zinc‐Ion Batteries: Recent Advances and Future Outlooks

open access: yesSmall Science, Volume 6, Issue 1, January 2026.
Separators for high‐performance AZIBs warrant design considerations from multiple working mechanisms, thereby achieving electrode stabilization and expanding device applications. Furthermore, to advance the commercialization of AZIBs, the practical application potential of the separator also needs to be evaluated and considered.

Metamodeling of Void Closure during Hot Flat Rolling

open access: yessteel research international, Volume 97, Issue 1, Page 104-115, January 2026.
This work aims to present a fast metamodel for void closure during hot flat rolling. The model takes into account every individual void of void distributions as found in industrial material and is capable of calculating the resulting void closure within only few seconds of computational time without loosing significant accuracy compared to expensive ...

Breaking the Barriers of Molecular Dynamics With Deep‐Learning: Opportunities, Pitfalls, and How to Navigate Them

open access: yesWIREs Computational Molecular Science, Volume 16, Issue 1, January/February 2026.
The scientist is hiking towards the treasure of accurate and predictive simulations of relevant phenomena. Molecular Dynamics shows a path riddled with obstacles such as accuracy, speed or sampling issues. Deep‐learning offers a way around these obstacles, but runs into hurdles of its own.
