Integrated Single‐Cell and Spatial Analysis Reveals a Metabolic‐Immune Axis Driving Aortic Dissection

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Single‐cell and spatial profiling of 110 human thoracic aortic samples reveals a stromal–immune circuit driving aortic dissection. An elastin‐rich fibroblast subset is depleted with age and markedly reduced in disease, weakening aortic wall integrity.

Combining Spatial Multi‐Omics Data to Decipher Spatial Domains and Elucidate Cell Heterogeneity Based on Self‐Supervised Graph Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A self‐supervised multi‐view graph fusion framework integrates spatial multi‐omics, excelling in domain identification and denoising. It reconstructs spatial pseudo‐expression, jointly analyzes multi‐omics data, infers RNA velocity, predicts spatial omics features from single‐cell multi‐omics, and detects spatially dark genes and transcription factors,

Using R In Generalized Linear Models [PDF]

open access: yesRevista Română de Statistică, 2015
This paper aims to approach the estimation of generalized linear models (GLM) on the basis of the glm routine package in R. Particularly, regression models will be analyzed for those cases in which the explained variable follows a Poisson or a Negative ...

On Compound Distributions for Natural Disaster Modelling in Kenya

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 2020
Kenyan communities are exposed to natural disasters by an amalgamation of factors such as poverty, aridity, and settlements in areas susceptible to natural disasters or in areas with poor infrastructure. This is expected to increase due to the effects of

Targeting PLD3 Reverses the Immunosuppressive Niche by Reprogramming Tumor‐Associated Macrophages and Potentiates Antitumor Immunity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
PLD3 activates the lysosomal‐AKT‐NF‐κB axis to drive cellular senescence in macrophages, establishing an immunosuppressive TME by limiting the infiltration of cytotoxic T, NK, and NKT cells, which confers resistance to anti‐PD‐1 therapy. Abrine inhibits PLD3 expression, restoring antitumor immunity and synergizing with anti‐PD‐1 treatment.

Multivariate negative binomial distributions generated by multivariate exponential distributions [PDF]

open access: yesApplicationes Mathematicae, 1999
Summary: We define a multivariate negative binomial (MVNB) distribution as a bivariate Poisson distribution function mixed with a multivariate exponential (MVE) distribution. We focus on the class of MVNB distributions generated by Marshall-Olkin MVE distributions. For simplicity of notation we analyze in detail the class of bivariate negative binomial

stMixer for Scalable Mosaic Integration and Label Transfer in Spatial Histology and Multi‐Omics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
stMixer is an unsupervised framework for scalable integration and label transfer across spatial histology and multi‐slide multi‐omics data with incomplete modality overlap. It combines self‐looped cross‐attention, multimodal metric learning, and graph‐guided cluster voting to align heterogeneous sections, correct batch effects, and propagate ...

Comparison of Approaches to Testing Equality of Expectations Among Samples from Poisson and Negative Binomial Distribution

open access: yesActa Universitatis Agriculturae et Silviculturae Mendelianae Brunensis, 2018
The paper deals with testing of the hypothesis of equality of expectations among p samples from Poisson or negative binomial distribution. a comparison of two main approaches is carried out.

Condition‐Associated Pattern Extraction and Recovery From Multi‐Condition Single‐Cell RNA‐seq Data With CAPER

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Decoupling biological signals from unwanted variation in multi‑condition single‑cell RNA sequencing data remains challenging. CAPER disentangles condition‑associated biological effects from sample heterogeneity through matrix factorization, producing interpretable latent factors and a batch‑corrected expression matrix.
