Quantile-Based Generalized Entropy of Order (α, β) for Order Statistics

open access: yesStatistica, 2019
In the present paper, we propose a quantile version of generalized entropy measure for order statistics for residual and past lifetimes and study their properties. Lower and upper bound of the proposed measures are derived.

Kernel Inference on the Generalized Gamma Distribution Based on Generalized Order Statistics [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Statistical Theory and Applications (JSTA), 2013
The kernel approach has been applied using the adaptive kernel density estimation, to inference on the generalized gamma distribution parameters, based on the generalized order statistics (GOS). For measuring the performance of this approach comparing to

ON GENERALIZED EIGHTH ORDER MOCK THETA FUNCTIONS

open access: yesUral Mathematical Journal, 2020
In this paper we have  generalized eighth order mock theta functions, recently introduced by Gordon and MacIntosh involving four independent variables. The idea of generalizing was to have four extra parameters, which on specializing give known functions

Bayesian Inference on the Generalized Gamma Distribution Based on Generalized Order Statistics [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Statistical Theory and Applications (JSTA), 2013
In this paper, the confidence intervals for the generalized gamma distribution parameters are derived based on the Bayesian approach using the informative and non-informative priors and the classical approach, via the Asymptotic Maximum likelihood ...

A generalization of Altman’s ordering principle [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the American Mathematical Society, 1984
A maximality principle on quasi-ordered quasi-metric spaces, containing, in particular, Altman’s and the Brézis-Browder ordering principles, is given. As an application, a local mapping theorem extending—from a "functional" viewpoint—a similar one due to Altman, is derived.

Multiple second order generalized integrators for harmonic synchronization of power converters [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
This paper presents a new frequency-adaptive synchronization method for grid-connected power converters which allows estimating not only the positive- and negativesequence components of the power signal at the fundamental frequency, but also other ...

Derivation of Some Results on the Generalized Relative Orders of Meromorphic Functions

open access: yesAnnals of the West University of Timisoara: Mathematics and Computer Science, 2017
In this paper we intend to find out relative order (relative lower order) of a meromorphic function f with respect to another entire function g when generalized relative order (generalized relative lower order) of f and generalized relative order ...

First order formalism for generalized vortices

open access: yesNuclear Physics B, 2018
This work develops a procedure to find classes of Lagrangian densities that describe generalizations of the Abelian Maxwell–Higgs, the Chern–Simons–Higgs and the Maxwell–Chern–Simons–Higgs models.

Generalized Cohomological Field Theories in the Higher Order Formalism [PDF]

open access: yes, 2023
In the classical Batalin—Vilkovisky formalism, the BV operator is a differential operator of order two with respect to a commutative product; in the differential graded setting, it is known that if the BV operator is homotopically trivial, then there is ...

Generalized order statistics from generalized exponential distributions in explicit forms [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
In the present paper, we study the generalized order statistics from Generalized Exponential Distributions (GED) in explicit forms. We obtain, the joint distribution, distribution of single, and conditional distribution of two generalized order ...
