This study explores how information processing is distributed between brains and bodies through a codesign approach. Using the “backpropagation through soft body” framework, brain–body coupling agents are developed and analyzed across several tasks in which output is generated through the agents’ physical dynamics.

Identities in Finitely Generated Semigroups of Polynomial Growth
The author solves some outstanding open problems on growth functions in semigroups. Let \(M\) be a nonempty set and \(F\) the free semigroup over \(M\). Let \(S\) be a semigroup generated by \(M\). The length \(\ell(s)\) of \(s\in S\) (with respect to \(M\)) is the minimum length among the words \(w\in F\) whose image is \(s\) under the induced ...

Differential identities in prime rings with involution
Let R R be a prime ring with involution. Using work of V. K. Kharchenko it is shown that any generalized identity for R R involving derivations of R R and the involution of R R is a ...

Dissecting the Ecological Structure of Health and Disease in the Global Gut Microbiome
We introduce Wiredancer, a framework that identifies three continuous ecological factors of the gut microbiota. These factors exhibit distinct patterns across health and disease, jointly capturing disrupted ecological stability and offering a new perspective for precision diagnostics and therapeutic strategies.

Phase Diagrams and Piezoelectric Properties of Wurtzite Al1−x−yScxGdyN Heterostructural Alloys
This study demonstrates ferroelectricity and piezoelectric properties improvement of quaternary wurtzite Al1−x−yScxGdyN${\rm Al}_{1-x-y}{\rm Sc}_x{\rm Gd}_y{\rm N}$ films, guided by density functional theory calculations. Wurtzite Al1−x−yScxGdyN${\rm Al}_{1-x-y}{\rm Sc}_x{\rm Gd}_y{\rm N}$ films have a high optical bandgap, enhanced piezoelectric ...

On generalized trigonometric functions and series of rational functions
Here we introduce a way to construct generalized trigonometric functions associated with any complex polynomials. The well known trigonometric functions can be seen to be associated with polynomial x2 - 1 .

Enhancing Maturation of Human Neuromuscular Organoids via Electrical Stimulation
A framework for on‐demand and non‐invasive exposure of human neuromuscular organoids (NMOs) to electrical stimuli is established to promote their maturation. The robustness and effectiveness of different stimulation regimes are evaluated via thorough characterization of organoid tissue structure and contraction capacity. Chronic electrical stimulation,

About extensions of generalized Apostol-type polynomials
Under a slight modification on the parameters associated to the generalized Apostol-type polynomials and the use of the generating method, we obtain some new results concerning extensions of generalized Apostol-type polynomials.
