ON THE PROPERTIES OF GENERALIZED RAYLEIGH DISTRIBUTION WITH APPLICATIONS
2023In this study, a new three-parameter lifetime distribution called the generalized Rayleigh distribution was introduced. The new model is an extension of classical Rayleigh distribution. An extension of density of the generalized Rayleigh distribution was derived from which some of the statistical and mathematical properties were derived.

A generalized Gompertz-Rayleigh model as a survival distribution
Mathematical Biosciences, 1984Abstract A generalized Gompertz-Rayleigh distribution is proposed as a potential survival distribution for the case of modeling dual components of risk acting on a population. The hazard function is expressed as the sum of two risks. The early risk component allows for either a high initial death rate that can decrease rapidly or an initial death ...

Discriminating between the generalized Rayleigh and Weibull distributions
Journal of Applied Statistics, 2013Generalized Rayleigh (GR) and Weibull (WE) distributions are used quite effectively for analysing skewed lifetime data. In this paper, we consider the problem of selecting either GR or WE distribution as a more appropriate fitting model for a given data set.

Generalization of Rayleigh Probability Distribution and its Application
Journal of Ship Research, 1978The Rayleigh probability distribution has been used extensively for statistical prediction of ocean waves, responses of ships, and marine structures in a seaway. However, the Rayleigh distribution cannot be used for statistical prediction of non-Gaussian random processes, a typical example of which is ship rolling motion with nonlinear characteristics.

Estimate of Distribution for SAR Image Based on the Generalized Rayleigh Distribution
2006 6th World Congress on Intelligent Control and Automation, 2006Generalized Rayleigh distribution was deduced for the amplitude SAR image according to the generalized central limit theorem, and the parameters were estimated by the negative order moment. Based on the disadvantage of single-point estimation, global search was suggested to achieve the optimal parameters.

GENERALIZATION OF RAYLEIGH DISTRIBUTION THROUGH A NEW TRANSMUTATION TECHNIQUE
In our research paper, we introduce an innovative statistical distribution known as the New Transmuted Rayleigh Distribution. This distribution serves as a versatile expansion of the traditional Rayleigh distribution and has been developed using a novel transmutation technique.Malik, Aliya Syed, S.P. Ahmad
