Weighted Rayleigh Distribution
International Journal of Research and Innovation in Applied ScienceThis paper introduces the Weighted Rayleigh (WR) distribution by inducing inverted weight function into the existing Rayleigh distribution. Statistical and mathematical expressions of its properties such as Survival Function, Hazard Function, Moments, Moment Generating Function, Mean Deviation and Renyi entropy were explicitly derived.

Methodology-specific rayleigh-match distributions
Vision Research, 1992Abstract Direct comparison of Rayleigh-match midpoint distributions obtained with different psychophysical methods reveals that unimodality is associated with the method-of-adjustment and multimodality is associated with the forced-choice method.

Modelling SAR images with a generalisation of the Rayleigh distribution
Conference Record of the Thirty-Fourth Asilomar Conference on Signals, Systems and Computers (Cat. No.00CH37154), 2002Synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imagery has found important applications due to its clear advantages over optical satellite imagery one of them being able to operate in various weather conditions. However, due to the physics of the radar imaging process, SAR images contain unwanted artifacts in the form of a granular look which is called speckle.

HPD Prediction Intervals for Rayleigh Distribution
IEEE Transactions on Reliability, 1985Using Jeffrey's non-informative prior, the predictive pdf of a future observation and that of the k-th order statistic of a future sample from a Rayleigh distribution have been obtained. Bayes predictive estimators and highest posterior density prediction intervals for the future observation and the k-th order statistic are derived. A numerical example

Moments of log Rayleigh distributions
Proceedings of the IEEE, 1974A simple method for computing the moments of a log Rayleigh distribution from Euler's constant and existing tables of values of the Riemann zeta function is given.

Cumulative distribution of the ratio of an inverse Rayleigh to a Rayleigh variable
Proceedings of the IEEE, 1969The cumulative distribution of the ratio of an inverse Rayleigh to a Rayleigh distributed variable is derived. Associating the Rayleigh variable with intermodulation and the inverse Rayleigh variable with thermal noise envelope, the distribution is used to derive the cumulative distribution of improvement for an adaptive modulation index system.

Transmuted Generalized Rayleigh Distribution
Journal of Statistics Applications & Probability, 2014In this article, we generalize the generalized Rayleigh distribution using the qu adratic rank transmutation map studied by Shaw et al. (9) to develop a transmuted generalized Rayleigh distribution. We provide a comprehensive description of the mathematical properties of the subject distribution along with its reliability behav ior.
