MGF Approach to the Analysis of Generalized Two-Ray Fading Models [PDF]
We analyze a class of Generalized Two-Ray (GTR) fading channels that consist of two line of sight (LOS) components with random phase plus a diffuse component.

Properties and Inference for a New Class of Generalized Rayleigh Distributions with an Application
In the present paper, we introduce a new form of generalized Rayleigh distribution called the Alpha Power generalized Rayleigh (APGR) distribution by following the idea of extension of the distribution families with the Alpha Power transformation.

Generalized inverted Kumaraswamy-Rayleigh Distribution: Properties and Application
The paper proposes a new four parameter distribution called Generalized inverted Kumaraswamy- Rayleigh Distribution. Various properties of the proposed distribution including moments, mean deviation about mean and median, entropy, L-moments, stress-strength reliability etc. are obtained.

Short Packets over Block-Memoryless Fading Channels: Pilot-Assisted or Noncoherent Transmission? [PDF]
We present nonasymptotic upper and lower bounds on the maximum coding rate achievable when transmitting short packets over a Rician memoryless block-fading channel for a given requirement on the packet error probability.

Estimation of Stress-Strength Reliability for Multicomponent System with Rayleigh Data
Inference is investigated for a multicomponent stress-strength reliability (MSR) under Type-II censoring when the latent failure times follow two-parameter Rayleigh distribution. With a context that the lifetimes of the strength and stress variables have

The Rayleigh Birnbaum Saunders Distribution: A General Fading Model [PDF]
A new compound non-symmetric distribution for modeling arbitrary fading-shadowing wireless channels is introduced and studied here. This distribution has some advantages in front of other well-known non-symmetric fading distributions such as the Rayleigh–lognormal distribution and the K distribution especially in the tails.

Parallel eigensolvers in plane-wave Density Functional Theory [PDF]
We consider the problem of parallelizing electronic structure computations in plane-wave Density Functional Theory. Because of the limited scalability of Fourier transforms, parallelism has to be found at the eigensolver level.
