Spatial Modulation for Generalized MIMO: Challenges, Opportunities, and Implementation [PDF]
A key challenge of future mobile communication research is to strike an attractive compromise between wireless network's area spectral efficiency and energy efficiency. This necessitates a clean-slate approach to wireless system design, embracing the rich body of existing knowledge, especially on multiple-input-multiple-ouput (MIMO) technologies.

Flexible Generalized Spatial Modulation for Visible Light Communications
Adaptive spatial modulation (ASM) varies the modulation size across the transmit light-emitting diodes (LEDs) to improve the overall spectral efficiency of visible light communication (VLC) systems. This article proposes a novel ASM scheme, referred to as flexible generalized spatial modulation (FGSM), for VLC systems.

RIS-Aided Receive Generalized Spatial Modulation Design with Reflecting Modulation
Spatial modulation (SM) transmits additional information bits by the selection of antennas. Generalized spatial modulation (GSM), as an advanced type of SM, can be divided into diversity and multiplexing (MUX) schemes according to the symbols carried on the selected antennas are identical or different. Recently, reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS)

New construction of enhanced cross Z-complementary set for generalized spatial modulation [PDF]
In order to expand the existence space of enhanced cross Z-complementary set (E-CZCS), based on the extended generalized Boolean function (EGBF), the direct construction method of enhanced cross Z-complementary sets was proposed.

Differential Transmission Schemes for Generalized Spatial Modulation [PDF]
Differential modulation schemes are very relevant in receivers having power and processing limitations, as these schemes dispense with the need for knowledge of channel coefficients for symbol detection. Spatial modulation (SM) is a scheme used in multi-antenna transmission scenarios where the data is transmitted in the amplitude, phase and spatial ...

Deep Learning-Aided OFDM-Based Generalized Optical Quadrature Spatial Modulation
In this paper, we propose an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM)-based generalized optical quadrature spatial modulation (GOQSM) technique for multiple-input multiple-output optical wireless communication (MIMO-OWC) systems. Considering the

On the Capacity of Generalized Quadrature Spatial Modulation
In this letter, the average mutual information (AMI) of generalized quadrature spatial modulation (GQSM) is first derived for continuous-input continuous-output channels. Our mathematical analysis shows that the calculation error induced by Monte Carlo integration increases exponentially with the signal-to-noise ratio.
