Intelligent Transmit Antenna Selection Schemes for High-Rate Fully Generalized Spatial Modulation

open access: yesFuture Internet, 2023
The sixth-generation (6G) network is supposed to transmit significantly more data at much quicker rates than existing networks while meeting severe energy efficiency (EE) targets.

Nonlinear Relativistic and Quantum Equations with a Common Type of Solution

open access: yes, 2011
Generalizations of the three main equations of quantum physics, namely, the Schr\"odinger, Klein-Gordon, and Dirac equations, are proposed. Nonlinear terms, characterized by exponents depending on an index $q$, are considered in such a way that the ...

Diffusion Spectrum Imaging Maps Early Axonal Loss and a Unique Progressive Signal in Neuronal Intranuclear Inclusion Disease

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To delineate specific in vivo white matter pathology in neuronal intranuclear inclusion disease (NIID) using diffusion spectrum imaging (DSI) and define its clinical relevance. Methods DSI was performed on 42 NIID patients and 38 matched controls.

Optimized Design of Distributed Generalized Reed-Solomon Coded Generalized Spatial Modulation [PDF]

open access: yesRadioengineering
To meet the need of modern society for more reliable and efficient communications, this paper applies the generalized spatial modulation (GSM) technique in the distributed generalized Reed-Solomon (GRS) coding to propose a novel distributed GRS coded GSM

Combined frequency-amplitude nonlinear modulation: theory and applications

open access: yes, 2010
In this work we formulate a generalized theoretical model to describe the nonlinear dynamics observed in combined frequency-amplitude modulators whose characteristic parameters exhibit a nonlinear dependence on the input modulating signal.

Spatial Modulation for Generalized MIMO: Challenges, Opportunities, and Implementation

open access: yesProceedings of the IEEE, 2014
A key challenge of future mobile communication research is to strike an attractive compromise between wireless network's area spectral efficiency and energy efficiency. This necessitates a clean-slate approach to wireless system design, embracing the rich body of existing knowledge, especially on multiple-input-multiple-ouput (MIMO) technologies.

Paramagnetic Rim Lesions Are Associated With Trans‐Synaptic Degeneration of the Visual Pathway in Multiple Sclerosis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objectives Retrograde trans‐synaptic degeneration (rTSD) from posterior visual pathway lesions in multiple sclerosis (MS) is characterized by hemi‐macular ganglion cell‐inner plexiform layer (GCIPL) thinning and contralateral visual field loss.

Generalized Spatial Modulation With Transmit Antenna Grouping for Massive MIMO

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2017
In this paper, we propose an innovative generalized spatial modulation (GSM) scheme namely grouping GSM (gGSM) to improve the system performance against the high channel correlation in massive MIMO systems.

Digital phantoms generated by spectral and spatial light modulators [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Biomedical Optics, 2015
A hyperspectral image projector (HIP) based on liquid crystal on silicon spatial light modulators is explained and demonstrated to generate data cubes. The HIP-constructed data cubes are three-dimensional images of the spatial distribution of spectrally resolved abundances of intracellular light-absorbing oxyhemoglobin molecules in single erythrocytes.

Elevated Connectivity During Language Processing Is Associated With Cognitive Performance in SeLECTS

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Self‐Limited Epilepsy with Centrotemporal Spikes (SeLECTS) is associated with language impairments despite seizures originating in the motor cortex, suggesting aberrant cross‐network interactions. Here we tested whether functional connectivity in SeLECTS during language tasks predicts language performance.
