Generalized Space Time Block Coded Spatial Modulation Systems

open access: yes, 2019
In this paper, Generalized Space-Time Block Coded Spatial Modulation (GSTBC-SM) is proposed for Multiple-Input and Multiple-Output (MIMO) system, which can be extended into an arbitrary even number of Transmit Antennas (TAs). The proposed GSTBC-SM scheme

Generation of axially modulated plasma waveguides using a spatial light modulator

open access: yesOptics Letters, 2016
We demonstrate the generation of axially modulated plasma waveguides using spatially patterned high-energy laser pulses. A spatial light modulator (SLM) imposes transverse phase front modulations on a low-energy (10 mJ) laser pulse which is interferometrically combined with a high-energy (130-450 mJ) pulse, sculpting its intensity profile. This enables

Gravity‐Dependent Modulation of Downbeat Nystagmus: Insights From Velocity‐Storage Dysfunction

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Downbeat nystagmus varies with head position, a phenomenon termed gravity‐dependent modulation. We aimed to clarify its mechanism using a velocity‐storage model. Methods In 10 patients with downbeat nystagmus due to cerebellar disorders, we recorded eye movements at different pitch‐ and roll‐axis head positions.

Signal constellations based on Eisenstein integers for generalized spatial modulation

open access: yes, 2016
This letter introduces signal constellations based on multiplicative groups of Eisenstein integers, i.e., hexagonal lattices. These sets of Eisenstein integers are proposed as signal constellations for generalized spatial modulation.

OFDM-Based Generalized Spatial Modulation for Optical Wireless Communication

open access: yes, 2021
In this paper, we propose two orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM)-based generalized spatial modulation (GSM) techniques, i.e., frequency domain GSM (FD-GSM) and time domain GSM (TD-GSM), for indoor multiple-input multiple-output optical ...

Zero forcing based sphere decoder for generalized spatial modulation systems

open access: yesETRI Journal, 2019
To reduce the number of radio frequency (RF) chains in multiple input multiple output (MIMO) systems, generalized spatial modulation (GSM) techniques have been proposed in the literature.

Symbolic Regression and Multi‐Objective Optimization of the Flory–Huggins Interaction Parameter for Hydrogels

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
We develop a data‐driven method to derive the mathematical expressions of the Flory–Huggins interaction parameter χ for the swelling behavior of temperature–responsive hydrogels. Starting from initial assumptions of χ, our workflow combines Bayesian optimization, Flory–Rehner theory, and symbolic regression to generate candidate χ expressions.

Performance evaluation of generalized optical spatial modulation with dimming support

open access: yes, 2018
In this paper, we propose a modified generalized spatial modulation (MGSM) scheme with dimming support for indoor optical wireless communication (OWC) systems. The spatial indices of the active LEDs and their transmitted optical power levels are utilized

Spectral-Efficient Generalized Spatial Modulation Based Hybrid Dimming Scheme With LACO-OFDM in VLC

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
Visible light communication (VLC) is regarded as one of the promising candidates to complement the conventional radio frequency communication as it can potentially perform communication and illumination simultaneously.

All‐in‐One Analog AI Hardware: On‐Chip Training and Inference with Conductive‐Metal‐Oxide/HfOx ReRAM Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An all‐in‐one analog AI accelerator is presented, enabling on‐chip training, weight retention, and long‐term inference acceleration. It leverages a BEOL‐integrated CMO/HfOx ReRAM array with low‐voltage operation (<1.5 V), multi‐bit capability over 32 states, low programming noise (10 nS), and near‐ideal weight transfer.
