Generalized Gudermannian function

open access: yesIssues of Analysis, 2018
Wilker and Huygens-type inequalities involving generalized Gudermannian function and its inverse function are established. These results are obtained with the aid of the p-version of the Schwab-Borchardt mean. Generalized one-parameter trigonometric and hyperbolic functions play a crucial role in this paper.

On Generating Functions [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the Edinburgh Mathematical Society, 1930
It is well known that the polynomial in x,has the following properties:—(A) it is the coefficient of tn in the expansion of (1–2xt+t2)–½;(B) it satisfies the three-term recurrence relation(C) it is the solution of the second order differential equation(D) the sequence Pn(x) is orthogonal for the interval (— 1, 1),i.e.

Generating function for q-Eulerian polynomials and their decomposition and applications

open access: yes, 2013
The aim of this paper is to define a generating function for q-Eulerian polynomials and numbers attached to any character χ of the finite cyclic group G.

Long-Term Reserve Expansion of Power Systems With High Wind Power Penetration Using Universal Generating Function Methods

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Power Systems, 2011
In a power system with high wind power penetration, reliability-based reserve expansion is a major problem of system planning and operation due to the uncertainty and fast fluctuation of wind speeds.

Solving arbitrary one-loop reduction via generating function

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields
Recently, the concept of generating function has been employed in one-loop reduction. For one-loop integrals encompassing arbitrary tensor ranks and higher-pole contributions, the generating function can be decomposed into a tensor part and a higher-pole

Coherent state-based generating function approach for Franck–Condon transitions and beyond

open access: yes, 2012
One-photon and multi-photon absorption, spontaneous and stimulated photon emission, resonance Raman scattering and electron transfer are important molecular processes that commonly involve combined vibrational-electronic (vibronic) transitions.

A generating function for generalized hypergeometric polynomial

open access: yesRevista Técnica de la Facultad de Ingeniería, 2011
The object of the present paper is to establish a general expansion formula, which provides us a generating function for the generalized hypergeometric polynomials .

On generalized pseudoconvex functions

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, 1989
AbstractIn this paper, the concept of pseudoconvexity is generalized in three different ways and the interrelation of them is investigated. For constrained optimization, sufficiency of Kuhn-Tucker optimality conditions is derived under some assumptions which do not require the generalized pseudoconvexity of the Lagrangian itself.
