Generating Rules by Means of Regression Analysis
1988This paper proposes a procedure by which the results of a regression analysis are “transformed” into a decision tree, or into decision rules. This may oe useful either as a way of integrating regression analysis in a learning environment where the accumulated knowledge is represented symbolically, or simply as a way of deriving intuitive and ...

A generalization of mean value analysis to higher moments
ACM SIGMETRICS Performance Evaluation Review, 1986Closed product-form queueing networks are considered. Recursive schemata are proposed for the higher moments of the number of customers in the queues, called “moment analysis”. As with mean value analysis (MVA), in general no state probabilities are needed. Approximation techniques for these schemata similar to those existing for MVA are introduced.

Generation means analysis for productivity in two diverse peanut crosses
Theoretical and Applied Genetics, 1991Utilization of exotic germplasm resources for population improvement in peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.) has increased as the need to increase genetic diversity among peanut cultivars was recognized. Progeny of crosses of two unadapted germplasm lines (GP-NC 343 and FESR-11-P11-32) with an adapted cultivar ('NCV11') of peanut were evaluated for the genetic

Generalized Spectrum Analysis by Means of Neural Networks
2003The problem of determination of generalized signal spectrum using neural networks has been investigated. The paper contains the formalization of the problem and is focused on building of a neural network that may be used to calculate coefficients of the generalized Fourier series for various base functions.

General Model for Memory Interference in Multiprocessors and Mean Value Analysis
IEEE Transactions on Computers, 1985This correspondence seeks to generalize and clarify the general model for memory interference (GMI) in multiprocessors as proposed by Hoogendoorn. The interference model creates a queueing network where some service centers are FCFS with constant service times; therefore, we also apply the mean value analysis (MVA) approxdmation suggested by Reiser to ...

Robust Stamps Detection and Classification by Means of General Shape Analysis
2010The article presents current challenges in stamp detection problem. It is a crucial topic these days since more and more traditional paper documents are being scanned in order to be archived, sent through the net or just printed. Moreover, an electronic version of paper document stored on a hard drive can be taken as forensic evidence of possible crime.

Generation Means Analysis of Fatty Acid Composition in Peanut
Journal of Crop Improvement, 2013Optimizing the chemical composition of peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.) oil is essential for the production of biodiesel. Specifically, increasing the ratio of oleic to linoleic acid (O/L) in peanut oil and reducing the long chain saturated fatty acid concentration (which includes arachidic, behenic, and lignoceric acids) produces high-quality, stable ...

Generation Means Analysis for Fiber Elongation in Upland Cotton
Crop Science, 2014ABSTRACTEach bale (218 kg) of upland cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L.) produced in the United States is graded on the basis of several fiber quality traits, namely, strength, upper‐half mean length, micronaire, uniformity index, color, and trash content.

Generation mean analysis for forage yield and quality in Kenaf
2016Several techniques have been used for estimation of peak outflow from breach when dam failure occurs. This study proposes using a generalized regression artificial neural network (GRNN) model as a new technique for peak outflow from the dam breach estimation and compare the results of GRNN with the results of the existing methods.
