ABSTRACT Background Maintenance hemodialysis (MHD) patients frequently suffer from frailty, characterized by reduced physical function and poor prognosis. Myokines, such as myonectin, secreted by muscle, are emerging regulators of systemic health. This study investigated the relationship between serum myonectin, adipokines (adiponectin, omentin), and ...

ABSTRACT Background Chronic micro‐inflammation in patients with end‐stage renal disease (ESRD) is a significant driver of cardiovascular complications and diminished quality of life. While standard hemodialysis (SHD) effectively manages small‐molecule clearance, its ability to remove medium‐to‐large uremic toxins—the primary catalysts of systemic ...

GENERATION MEAN ANALYSIS USING GENERATION VARIANCE IN MAIZE TRAITS
This study was conducted to evaluate the effect of gene action on grain yield and yield components of maize(Zea mays L.) using generation mean analysis method for six generations (P₁, P₂, F₁,F₂, Bc₁ and Bc₂ )of two crosses of maize (H40×un44052)and (Ik8×Hs). The analysis of variance shows significant differences between generation means.

Generation means analysis of resistance to head smut in maize [PDF]
Summary — Head smut, caused by Sphacelotheca reilana (Kuhn) Clint, is a disease affecting maize (Zea mays L) in southwest France. Generation means analysis was used to determine the relative importance of additive, dominance, and epistatic effects controlling resistance of maize to head smut. The parental inbred lines, FFand first backcross generations
