Generalizations of the noisy-or model [PDF]
Summary: In this paper, we generalize the noisy-or model. The generalizations are three-fold. First, we allow parents to be multivalued ordinal variables. Second, parents can have both positive and negative influences on their common child. Third, we describe how the suggested generalization can be extended to multivalued child variables.

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.
