Personalized image generation with deep generative models: A decade survey
Recent advances in generative models have significantly facilitated the development of personalized content creation. Given a small set of images containing a user-specific concept, personalized image generation allows the user to create images that ...

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

Large Property Models: A New Generative Paradigm for Molecules
Generative models for the inverse design of molecules with particular properties have been heavily hyped but have yet to demonstrate significant gains over machine learning augmented expert intuition.

Emergence of Object Segmentation in Perturbed Generative Models [PDF]
We introduce a framework to learn object segmentation from a collection of images without any manual annotation. We build on the observation that the location of object segments can be perturbed locally relative to a given background without affecting ...

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

To provide a more exible workhorse model of temporary price reductions or "sales", this paper presents a substantially generalized "clearinghouse" sales framework. Our framework permits multiple dimensions of firm heterogeneity, and views firms as competing directly in utility rather than prices.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.
