A pixelation‐free, monolithic iontronic pressure sensor enables simultaneous pressure and position sensing over large areas. AC‐driven ion release generates spatially varying impedance pathways depending on the pressure. Machine learning algorithms effectively decouple overlapping pressure–position signals from the multichannel outputs, achieving high ...

Reductive, Exclusionary, Normalising: The Limits of Generative AI Music
Up until recently, most approaches to music generation were based on deductive logic: generative rules were devised on the basis of musicians’ preferences, subjective appreciation and dominant music theories.

By mimicking the ion‐accelerating effect of ion channel receptors in neuron membranes, a biomaterials‐based ionic hydrogel (BIH) is developed, which offers a high ionic conductivity of 7.04 S m−1, outperforming conventional chitosan, cellulose, agarose, starch, and gelatin based ionic hydrogels.

Hyperbolic Music Transformer for Structured Music Generation
In the field of music generation, generating structured music is a highly challenging research topic. Music generation methods are currently learned in Euclidean space and usually modeled as a time series without structural properties, but due to the limitations of the time series representation in Euclidean space, the hierarchical structure of music ...

Tunable Sensitivity in PAN/CNF/PEDOT:PSS Nanofiber‐Based Piezocapacitive Sensors
This study demonstrates highly tunable, flexible pressure sensors made from a nanofibrous composite of polyacrylonitrile (PAN) and carbon nanofibers (CNF) or poly(3,4‐ethylenedioxythiophene):polystyrene sulfonate (PEDOT:PSS). By adjusting filler type, concentration, and mat thickness, the sensors achieve large sensitivity improvements, stable ...

Am I (Deep) Blue? Music-Making AI and Emotional Awareness
Artificial Intelligence has shown paradigmatic success in defeating world champions in strategy games. However, the same programming tactics are not a reasonable approach to creative and ostensibly emotional artistic endeavors such as music composition ...

Hierarchical multi‐material TPMS lattices are engineered as flexible tactile sensors by combining soft and stiff elastomeric layers with a conformal conductive coating. The bilayer architecture delivers sensitivity at low pressures while maintaining a broad detectable range under large loads, enabling reliable pressure and vibration monitoring for ...
