Large‐scale phenotyping of physical and antioxidant traits in peach and apricot cultivars

open access: yesJournal of the Science of Food and Agriculture, Volume 106, Issue 10, Page 6050-6063, 15 August 2026.
Abstract BACKGROUND Peach and apricot are valued for their sensory attributes and nutritional value; however large‐scale evaluations of fruit quality and antioxidant‐related traits remain limited. This study aimed to quantify phenotypic diversity and examine relationships between fruit quality and antioxidant traits in 100 peach and 32 apricot ...

The Zuo Jin Wan Formula Reverses Cisplatin Resistance in Gastric Cancer by Inhibiting the Mitochondrial Translocation of Dynamin‐Related Protein 1 and Its Mediated Mitochondrial Fission and Mitophagy

open access: yesCancer Medicine, Volume 15, Issue 8, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Gastric cancer is a major global health concern characterized by high incidence and mortality rates. One of the key challenges in treating gastric cancer is the development of resistance to chemotherapy drugs like cisplatin (DDP). This study aimed to investigate the efficacy of Zuo Jin Wan (ZJW), a traditional Chinese medicine, in ...

Development of plant‐derived biomimetic nanoparticles as a novel targeted drug delivery platform

open access: yesClinical and Translational Discovery, Volume 6, Issue 4, August 2026.
Plant‐derived biomimetic nanoparticles (PD‐BNPs) represent a sustainable and biocompatible nanoplatform for targeted drug delivery. This review highlights their therapeutic potential, engineering strategies, and translational challenges toward precision nanomedicine applications. Abstract Plant‐derived biomimetic nanoparticles (PD‐BNPs) have emerged as

Quaternary Climate Oscillations Shape Genetic Diversity and Spatial Structure of Viola hybanthoides (Violaceae) Endemic to Danxia Landscape

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 8, August 2026.
We adopted ddRAD‐seq and chloroplast genome sequencing to explore the genetic characteristics of the danxia‐endemic species Viola hybanthoides. This species exhibits extremely low within‐population genetic diversity and obvious genetic differentiation, which is mainly driven by habitat fragmentation, restricted gene flow and Quaternary climatic changes.

Effects of Simulated Herbivory on the Thermal Resilience of Two Temperate Seagrass Species

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 8, August 2026.
This study investigates how reduced leaf size via simulated herbivory influences the thermal performance of temperate seagrasses. Simulated herbivory enhanced physiological performance and resilience under elevated temperatures in Posidonia australis, but not in Heterozostera tasmanica.
