SUITABILITY OF DIFFERENT VINEYARD PEACH GENOTYPES FOR GENERATIVE ROOTSTOCKS PRODUCTION

Acta Horticulturae, 2008
Suitability of 14 genotypes for generative rootstocks production was investigated in this paper. In examined genotypes number of germinated seeds, total number of seedlings, number of seedlings suitable for grafting and number of produced scions in relation to number of stratified seeds was determined.

Different rootstocks decrease the cadmium accumulation of the post-grafting generation of Brassica juncea var. megarrhiza

International Journal of Environmental Analytical Chemistry, 2020
A pot experiment was designed to assess the effects of different rootstocks on cadmium (Cd) accumulation and the growth of the post-grafting generations of Brassica juncea var. megarrhiza.

Mathematical model for predicting the yield of apple trees on rootstock 62-396

Вестник российской сельскохозяйственной науки
Traditionally, forecasting apple tree yields was carried out on the basis of statistics of already obtained long-term yield dynamics or based on generative formations formed on the tree.

Phenological, Morphological and Pomological Characteristics of ‘Samsun Güzeli’ Pear Genotype on BA29 Rootstock

Tekirdağ Ziraat Fakültesi Dergisi
Türkiye has many local pear cultivars; some of them do not have much production and propagation potential due to their low quality and undesirable vegetative and generative characteristics.

Interspecies rootstocks affect cadmium accumulation in postgrafting generation plants of potential cadmium-hyperaccumulator Solanum photeinocarpum

Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry, 2016
Abstract   Pot and field experiments were conducted to study the effects of interspecies rootstocks on cadmium (Cd) accumulation characteristics of the potential Cd-hyperaccumulator Solanum photeinocarpum postgrafting generation plants. Four treatments (ungrafted and S.

Effects of different rootstocks on cadmium accumulation characteristics of the post-grafting generations of Galinsoga parviflora

International Journal of Phytoremediation, 2019
A pot experiment was conducted to study the effects of different rootstocks on the cadmium (Cd) accumulation characteristics of the post-grafting generations of Cd-hyperaccumulator Galinsoga parviflora plants. Five treatments, ungrafted and G. parviflora seedlings grafted on the rootstocks of Kalimeris indica, Senecio scandens, Conyza canadensis, and ...

Integrative study of Vitis biodiversity for next-generation breeding of grapevine rootstocks

2023
Drought is one of the main challenges for viticulture in the context of global change. The choice of rootstock could be leveraged for vineyard adaptation to drought as we can improve plant performance without modifying the scion variety. However, most of the existing rootstocks, selected over a century ago, have a narrow genetic background which could ...

Advanced generation peach-almond hybrids as seedling rootstocks for almond: first year growth and potential pollenizers for hybrid seed production

Euphytica, 2007
For decades, seedling peaches have been used as the standard rootstock in California almond orchards. Vigorous, deep rooted trees are needed in almond orchards for maximum yields and to withstand the annual tree-shaking at harvest. Currently, researchers are actively evaluating rootstocks for almonds in field trials and in various screening protocols ...

Generative Rootstock Potential of Some Hybrid Chestnut Genotypes

2019
In Turkey chestnut cultivation is threaten by chestnut blight, chestnut root rot and Asian chestnut gall wasp. In order to obtain tolerant cultivars to the pests and diseases hybridization studies were performed. As a result, A14, A25, A41 and A100 hybrid chestnut genotypes were selected as superior. Some of these genotypes were registered by ‘Republic
