Genetic Algorithm for Gas Turbine Blading Design
Volume 7: Turbomachinery, Parts A, B, and C, 2011Designing a gas turbine from scratch has always been an extremely laborious task in terms of obtaining the desired power output and efficiency. Theoretical prediction of the performances of a gas turbine has proven in time to be a compromise between accuracy and simplicity of the calculus.

Forking Genetic Algorithms: GAs with Search Space Division Schemes
Evolutionary Computation, 1997In this article, we propose a new type of genetic algorithm (GA), the forking GA (fGA), which divides the whole search space into subspaces, depending on the convergence status of the population and the solutions obtained so far. The fGA is intended to deal with multimodal problems that are difficult to solve using conventional GAs.

RCQ-GA: RDF Chain Query Optimization Using Genetic Algorithms
2009The application of Semantic Web technologies in an Electronic Commerce environment implies a need for good support tools. Fast query engines are needed for efficient querying of large amounts of data, usually represented using RDF. We focus on optimizing a special class of SPARQL queries, the so-called RDF chain queries.

The GA-P: a genetic algorithm and genetic programming hybrid
IEEE Expert, 1995The GA-P performs symbolic regression by combining the traditional genetic algorithms function optimization strength with the genetic-programming paradigm to evolve complex mathematical expressions capable of handling numeric and symbolic data. This technique should provide new insights into poorly understood data relationships. >

Genetic Algorithm (GA)-Based NPC Making
2015Non-playable characters have always been a special part of video games. Their appearance is more pronounced in role-playing games like the Elder Scrolls series and the Fallout series or in the open-world games like the Grand Theft Auto series or the Assassins Creed series. The presence of these characters is either to provide the player with objectives

Gas turbine preventive maintenance optimization using genetic algorithm
International Journal of System Assurance Engineering and Management, 2017The tremendous impact of an optimized maintenance program on system overall cost and reliability leads various industrial managers and owners to seek an intelligent tool for maintenance decision making. Gas turbine industry is no exception, since it is of the most expensive and critical components in both power plant and oil and gas industries. In this
