AN INITIAL LOOK AT THE TOKYO GRAIN EXCHANGE NON-GMO SOYBEAN CONTRACT [PDF]

open access: yes
Genetically modified organisms (GMOs) such as soybeans and corn have garnered considerable consumer attention due to the concern over potential effects from using these commodities as inputs into food production.

3D Multicellular Scaffold Based Model for Advancing Bone Disorder Research

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A scalable 3D multicellular in vitro bone model engineered by integrating osteoblasts, osteoclasts, and endothelial cells on biodegradable scaffolds. The system recapitulates key features of human bone remodeling and disease pathology. As a proof of concept, the model mimics osteogenesis imperfecta, demonstrating its potential as a physiologically ...

Rapid function analysis of OsiWAK1 using a Dual-Luciferase assay in rice

open access: yesScientific Reports
In the past decade, the exploration of genetic resources in rice has significantly enhanced the efficacy of rice breeding. However, the exploration of genetic resources is hindered by the identification of candidate genes.

Next‐Generation Bio‐Reducible Lipids Enable Enhanced Vaccine Efficacy in Malaria and Primate Models

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Structure–activity relationship (SAR) optimization of bio‐reducible ionizable lipids enables the development of highly effective lipid nanoparticle (LNP) mRNA vaccines. Lead LNPs show superior tolerability and antibody responses in rodents and primates, outperforming approved COVID‐19 vaccine lipids.

Genetically Modified Crops, an Input Distance Function Approach [PDF]

open access: yes
Our initial findings indicate that GM crops do not contribute to the decline of traditional family farms. We make a significant methodological impact by using the within transformation to remove unobserved individual effects and demonstrate that the ...

Functional Materials for Environmental Energy Harvesting in Smart Agriculture via Triboelectric Nanogenerators

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This review explores functional and responsive materials for triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs) in sustainable smart agriculture. It examines how particulate contamination and dirt affect charge transfer and efficiency. Environmental challenges and strategies to enhance durability and responsiveness are outlined, including active functional layers ...
