Genotype by environment interactions for behavioral reactivity in sheep.

Journal of animal science, 2016
In sheep, social reactivity and reactivity to humans are relevant behavioral responses that are used to investigate the behavioral adaptation of farm animals to various rearing conditions. Such traits were previously reported as heritable and associated with several QTLs.

Genotype x environment interaction

1995
In section 8.2 the genotypic value was defined as g:= E (\(\underline{p}\) | gt, E). This implies that the genotypic value depends not only on the macro-environmental conditions, but also on the effect of the interaction of the considered genotype and the considered macro-environment.

The interaction of genotype and environment in durum wheat

Euphytica, 1970
Genotype-environment interactions for yield, final height and days to maturity were analysed by means of statistical and genetic techniques in five cultivars of durum wheat (Triticum durumDesf.) grown for 4–5 years in 5 locations in Western Canada. Differences in the response to environment were found among genotypes for the characters studied.

Genotype x environment interaction in castor

Madras Agricultural Journal, 2000
The phenotype stability of 79 genotypes of castor (60 hybrids and 19 parents) grown over four environments was studied for oil content, seed yield and other related traits. Variance due to genotypes, environments, G x E (liner) components was highly significant for all the traits.

Genotype-by-Environment Interaction in Crop Improvement

2004
In this paper, we discuss the role of genotype by environment interactions (GEI) in crop improvement, especially the following: (1) Implications of GEI in crop improvement, (2) Nature and causes of GEI, (3) Approaches for studying GEI, and (4) Strategies for using GEI in crop improvement.

Genotype-by-Environment Interactions Under Water-Limited Conditions

From a plant breeding and statistical perspective, genotype-by-environment interactions (GEI) for traits are considered to have occurred when there is a change in the relative performance of genotypes for the traits between different sets of environmental conditions.

The interaction of genotype and environment in plant development

1965
The basic proposition of genetic control of development has long since become incontrovertible, as has the fact that development is variously conditioned by the environment in which it takes place. Only recently, however, have some of the specific facets of heredity-environment interactions been subject to analysis.
