Identification and characterisation of superior onion line for high-temperature condition

open access: yesActa Agriculturae Scandinavica. Section B, Soil and Plant Science
Onion is a cool-season crop and the development of high temperature tolerant varieties will help in alleviating ‘onion - crises’. A total of 7 onion genotypes were exposed to constant temperature of 25, 30, 35, 40 and 45°C under in vitro and grown under ...

Assessment of Genetic Diversity in Quinoa Landraces Cultivated in the Ecuadorian Highlands Since the Early 1980s

open access: yesPlants
Quinoa (Chenopodium quinoa Willd.) landraces have been cultivated ancestrally in the Andean highlands of Ecuador, where they have had great social and nutritional importance for the native population. Currently, there is scarce information on its genetic

Genetic variability and correlation in pigeonpea genotypes

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Plant Breeding, 2018
Forty nine pigeon pea genotypes were evaluated at Agricultural Research Station Tandur during kharif 2015-16. Genotypes were grouped into six clusters based on Mahalonobis D2 statistics. Days to maturity contributed to maximum genetic divergence followed by days to 50% flowering.

Genotypic Variability in Response to Heat Stress and Post-Stress Compensatory Growth in Mungbean Plants (Vigna radiata [L.] Wilczek)

open access: yesCrops
Understanding genotypic variability in tolerance to heat stress during flowering, a critical growth stage, and post-stress recovery remains limited in mungbean (Vigna radiata) genotypes.

GENETIC VARIABILITY IN CLONAL POPULATIONS OF JAVA CITRONELLA Cymbopogon winterianus JOWITT

open access: yesAnnals of Tropical Research, 1983
The nature and extent of variability and heritability were estimated in clonal populations of Java citronella, Cymbopogon winterianus Jowitt. A wide range of variability was observed.

Biomass Allocation Patterns Are Linked to Genotypic Differences in Whole-Plant Transpiration Efficiency in Sunflower

open access: yesFrontiers in Plant Science, 2017
Increased transpiration efficiency (the ratio of biomass to water transpired, TE) could lead to increased drought tolerance under some water deficit scenarios.
