[Identification of gentianae macrophyllae radix using the ITS2 barcodes].
Yao xue xue bao = Acta pharmaceutica Sinica, 2013DNA barcoding is a rapidly developing frontier technology in the world and will be useful in promoting the quality control and standardization of traditional Chinese medicine. Until now, many studies concerning DNA barcoding have focused on leaf samples but rarely on Chinese herbal medicine.

Gentiana macrophylla Pall., a valuable Chinese traditional medicinal herb, exhibits notable anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects. The WRKY transcription factor plays a pivotal role in regulating development and stress responses. Although the WRKY family extensively characterized in diverse plant species, a comprehensive analysis of this gene family ...

Plant regeneration from mesophyll protoplasts of Radix Gentianae Macrophyllae
2011 International Conference on Remote Sensing, Environment and Transportation Engineering, 2011A procedure for plant regeneration from protocallus of Radix Gentianae Macrophyllae was developed. The protoplasts were isolated from callus derived from tender leaves, using an enzyme solution containing 2% Cellulase, 1% Hemicellulose, 0.5% pectolyase, 0.05mol/L CaCl 2 , 0.4 mol/L mannitol and 0.1% 2[N-morpholino] ethanesulfolic acid (MES).

Phytochemistry
Ten lignans, including six previously undescribed phenolic ester glycosyl lignans (1-6), were isolated from a well-known traditional Chinese medicine, Qin-Jiao, which is the dry root of Gentiana macrophylla Pall. (Gentianaceae). Their structures were determined by spectroscopic and chemical methods, especially 2D NMR techniques.
