Dammarane-Type Triterpenoids from Gentianella azurea
Journal of Natural Products, 2014Thirteen new dammarane-type triterpenoids (1-13) and four known analogues, gentirigenic acid (14) and the gentirigeosides A, B, and E (15-17), were isolated from Gentianella azurea. Their structures were elucidated by detailed analysis of the NMR, MS, and X-ray crystallographic data.

Antimicrobial and free radical scavenging activity of Gentianella nitida
Fitoterapia, 2004The antimicrobial and free radical scavenging activity of the ethanol extract and fractions of Gentianella nitida have been assessed. The most susceptible microorganisms were Candida albicans, Trichophyton mentagrophytes and Microsporum gypseum. The antifungal activity was concentrated in the 90% methanol and nonsoluble fractions, while the radical ...

Gentianella (Gentianaceae): A model taxon for evolution in the Alps
TAXON, 2011AbstractMost taxa of European Gentianella sect. Gentianella are members of the group of Gentianella germanica, which is represented with 11 of its 15 taxa in the Alps. However, due to often minor morphological differentiation many of these taxa are lumped into informal aggregates.

Anti-inflammatory secoiridoid glycosides from Gentianella azurea
Bioorganic & Medicinal Chemistry Letters, 2014A phytochemical investigation on crude extract of Gentianella azurea led to the isolation of ten new (1-10) and one known (11) secoiridoid glycosides. Their structures were unambiguously elucidated by analysis of 1D and 2D NMR. Compounds 2, 5 and 11 were found to inhibit nitric oxide (NO) production in RAW 264.7 macrophages with IC50 values of 52.78 ...

[Study on lignans of Gentianella acuta].
Zhong yao cai = Zhongyaocai = Journal of Chinese medicinal materials, 2015To study the lignans from the whole plant of Gentianella acuta. The compounds were isolated by various chromatographic techniques and indentified by spectroscopic methods.Nine compounds were isolated and identified as (7R,8S) -dehydrodiconiferyl alcohol-4,9'-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside (1), alaschanisoside A (2), citrusin A (3), olivil-4'-O-beta-D ...

A revision of the genus Gentianella in New Zealand
2003Previous work on Gentianella and related genera is reviewed, particularly the taxonomic history of the New Zealand gentians and their generic placement. Phylogenetic analysis of DNA sequences show the New Zealand gentians belong in Gentianella. Thirty species are recognised, including seven species (G. angustifolia, G. calcis, G.
