Differentials of the 2nd kind on a product surface

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 1979
This paper deals with the problems of representing an arbitrary double differential of the second kind, defined on a surface which is the topological product of two curves, in terms of the products of simple differentials of the second kind on the two ...

The Genus “Testacella“ [PDF]

open access: yesNature, 1895
IN NATURE for last year the writer gave a list of the localities for Testacella scutulum which had come under his notice. With a view to making this list more complete, and to obtaining a more definite idea of the distribution of the various species of the genus in the British Isles, the writer would be greatly indebted to any reader of NATURE who ...

Recombinant Proteins: A Molecular Tool to Understand Marine Adhesion and to Advance Biomaterials

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
The production of recombinant proteins represents a fundamental step in the characterisation of marine invertebrate adhesives and in the development of bio‐inspired glues. The association of these proteins with other components such as ions, proteins, polysaccharides, or polymers enables the fabrication of biomaterials for various healthcare ...

Customizable Fabrication of 2D and Conformal Multielectrode Arrays for 3D Printed Organotypic Bioelectronic Interfaces

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Aerosol jet printing enables rapid, customizable fabrication of flexible, fully gold multi‐electrode arrays (MEAs) for organotypic bioelectronic interfaces. The printed MEAs exhibit stable electrochemical performance, cytocompatibility, and functionality in recording and stimulation, including integration with 3D‐printed constructs.

Harnessing Next‐Generation 3D Cancer Models to Elucidate Tumor‐Microbiome Crosstalk

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Centralizes the microbiome within 3D tumor‐microbiome model platforms, including spheroids, organoids, 3D‐bioprinted constructs, and microfluidic chips, each enabling structured host‐tumor‐microbe studies. These systems support bacterial colonization, facilitating investigation of microbial impacts on tumor growth, immunity, and therapy. The microbiome

Genus Ranges of 4-Regular Rigid Vertex Graphs

open access: yes, 2012
We introduce a notion of genus range as a set of values of genera over all surfaces into which a graph is embedded cellularly, and we study the genus ranges of a special family of four-regular graphs with rigid vertices that has been used in modeling ...
