ABSTRACT Objective The cervical spinal cord (cSC) is highly relevant to clinical dysfunction in multiple sclerosis (MS) but remains understudied using quantitative magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). We assessed magnetization transfer ratio (MTR), a semi‐quantitative MRI measure sensitive to MS‐related tissue microstructural changes, in the cSC and its ...

On the Planarity of Graphs Associated with Symmetric and Pseudo Symmetric Numerical Semigroups
Let S(m,e) be a class of numerical semigroups with multiplicity m and embedding dimension e. We call a graph GS an S(m,e)-graph if there exists a numerical semigroup S∈S(m,e) with V(GS)={x:x∈g(S)} and E(GS)={xy⇔x+y∈S}, where g(S) denotes the gap set of S.

After examining the European Ammoconia caecimacula (in which the ♂ anntennæ are dentate and furnished with pencilled setae or hair; the form stout; the tibiae, of the middle and hind legs only, spinose; the thorax and abdomen with slight dorsal tuftings), I find that my species are not congeneric, and I accordingly refer them to this genus named in ...

The genus of curve, pants and flip graphs [PDF]
This article is about the graph genus of certain well studied graphs in surface theory: the curve, pants and flip graphs. We study both the genus of these graphs and the genus of their quotients by the mapping class group.

The author generalizes classical results on the genus of lattices over orders in semi-simple algebras to finitely generated modules over orders in - not necessarily - semi-simple algebras. His interesting techniques for the proofs yield even in the classical situation simplifications of the existing proofs.

IN NATURE for last year the writer gave a list of the localities for Testacella scutulum which had come under his notice. With a view to making this list more complete, and to obtaining a more definite idea of the distribution of the various species of the genus in the British Isles, the writer would be greatly indebted to any reader of NATURE who ...
